Remember earlier this summer this thread had only 100 pages? It's now doubled in less time. It's officially the new mega thread, except on topic. Sweet.

Basketball: Cyclones hone in on recruiting hot spots | Ames Tribune
“When other schools are recruiting the kid, they try and attack Ames as a city,” said Mann.
And with a population of 58,965 people, 85 percent of whom are white, there are a few go-to negative tactics when schools target kids, predominantly blacks, from big cities who are considering Ames and ISU.
“They say, ‘Well, there’s not a lot of people there that look like you,’” Mann said. “And they’ll say, ‘There’s nothing to do in Ames.’”
To which ISU responds, come see for yourself.
Glad Mann addressed this garbage tactic. I am not the least bit surprised that other coaches pull this crap. Just recruit your school, not try to bring others down by hating.

Rashad Vaughn playing on ESPNU right now if anyone cares. It's streetball though. Not very competitive. Haha

Is Abu still plan on visiting?, haven't heard of anything lately and he said he wanted to visit in August...if I remember correctly.

Is McCullough even mentioning Iowa State any more? Haven't heard anything regarding him and us for a while.

Correction: 2014's Abdul-Malik Abu, Jared Terrell & Alec Brennan are all visiting Maryland today with their coaches.

Abu and his coaches were trying to work out a visit to Iowa State, however I'm sure the distance factor and schedule are a limit in that factor. There is no reason to believe that Abu is no longer interesting in visiting, so don't panic.

McCullough is taking a few more unofficial visits through September before narrowing down his list, so expect a shortened list from him in the next 1-2 months.
