I was impressed with Iowa fans today - a lot more courteous than I expected.

This. First time to Kinnick. I wasn't as impressed with the stadium or the fan support (students were very tame), but that had more to do with the on-field product than anything else. However, from start to finish every Hawk fan I saw was well behaved.

After the game was the weirdest part. 70,000 fans leaving in utter silence. Knowing nods and quiet fist bumps between ISU fans, but otherwise it was like the walking dead.

I have been to the last 5-6 of these games in IC. The fans were the best that I have been around of the games I have attended down there. After the game fans were happy isu didn't win 30-6 like they probably should have.

I think iowa fans were more upset with the way there teams looks with zero talent an concerned about when they will be good again.

It's fun hearing some of your recaps from Kinnick and I'm glad I can no longer say I was at the last victory there for the Cyclones.

I saw that on tv and I have to say it made me very uncomfortable to look at him. Not because he is a Hawk fan, but because there is something wrong with him. I cant quite put a finger on it, but I dont like his face.

I know the kid, he works at Dahls in Ankeny. He wants to be a doctor (good luck) but more power to him, his taste in Football teams is pretty weak.

The pic is funny!!

Going to be a doctor to diagnose what's wrong with his head?

But, are you SURE you know that guy, and he's not special needs? Cause if not, game on, I know there's some fellas on here that can put that goof ball in some nice 'shops.

I wasn't at the game, since I had a wedding to attend. I went to a bar right after the ceremony (me in my red shirt and gold tie, my friend in a black and gold dress). The bar was in SE Iowa, so there were about 5 Cyclone fans in attendance. After the game, the waitress said "I know you're a customer and all, but **** you". I wasn't even hootin OR hollerin (much) the entire time, I swear!

I know you're my waitress and all, but I wouldn't be expecting a tip.

I had the displeasure of having to watch the game at home as it was being televised by the BTN. The broadcasters naturally supportive of all things Big 10, came across as pretty ameturistic though. It was killing them when they knew that the receiver stepped out clearly on the 2 yard line. Chuck Long was embarrasing himself. We have all seen exjocks get into the booth and still come across OK but Chuck was in "big man on campus mode" and loving it. He even said it and couldn't wait to get back to IC for more. Evidently wants to fit into Podolak's chair someday.

Couldn't make it down to IC this year. Was there in 2002 and two years ago. 2002 was by far the worst I've seen them. Lot of arrogance that year. Two years ago they were really pretty good. Had one guy yell Go Hawks in my ear as I was walking by him, but other then that they treated me pretty well. Glad to hear they are getting better. They were really bad at the tail end of the Hayden years.

We arrived in IC about 10:00 AM. We were driving south on 218. There were several black vehicles in line to take the I-80 turnoff. I told my wife it looked like a bunch of people headed to a funeral.

When we went to the game we had to park downtown and rode the tram bus. The hawk fans did a couple of their"Go Hawks" cheers. I am sure it was to entertain the few cyclones on the bus.

After the game we got back on a bus to head back to where we parked. The bus driver said I hear the hawks lost a game of baseball to the cyclones today. 9-6. Very few could muster a laugh.

First time to Kinnick and will probably be my last. Got many high fives from other cyclone fans in attendance.

The funniest thing on the BTN broadcast was when White broke that big play down the sideline you could hear Chuck Long say,"Uh oh."

I have to give it to our team, fans, band, and mascot! The team took the fans out of the game in the first five minutes. It was pretty quiet until late in the third quarter..... in fact, we were able to watch most of the game from our seats. I think our band was louder and played a heck of a lot more then u of I. And CY was all over the field. I think I saw the turkey two times at most. He pretty much stayed in the student section. We made Kinnick our house for the day!

He was bad on the broadcast, could definitely hear in his voice he thought he was the s***.

Not really "voices" from the stands, but Rony Nelson is in my English 302 class and he said this morning that he had some hawkeye lady in the front row spit on him when he came out from a defensive series.

That sucks I had a Nebraska fan spit on me when we were walking from the locker room to the field my senior year.
