From an unbiased position, this is what I see. Kozma got under the ball with ordinary effort, but the infield fly call came way too late.
O trust me, I've seen every angle of the play about 20 times. Maybe I'm a bit biased, but it still didn't seem like ordinary effort, and he definitely didn't camp. But yes, it was undeniably called much too late.
Letting opposing pitchers go yard isnt a good way to start a title defense ...
Did you watch the video at all?
Also I would like to note that the Braves would have still been down by 2 runs if I remember correctly
Yes, I watched the video. But I've also watched that exact replay closely many times since then.
And yes, they would have still been down two, but bases loaded with only one out is VERY dangerous.
I never said it caused my Braves to lose. But it was a terrible call that greatly impacted a one-game series. That's all I'm saying.
I'm a Twins fan. But I am really only interested if they are winning. I followed them pretty closely when they were making it to the playoffs every year and winning the division (until the Oklahoma State football game the best sports event I have ever been to was a Twins season finale where they won and Kansas City beat Detroit in extra innings which allowed the Twins to win the Division. The Twins had gone on a pretty good run in September to even get in the playoffs and Detroit was ahead something like 7-1, but Kansas City came back to win. The Twins game was done and they put the Detroit game on the big screen after the game. Really, really fun day.)
So basically I won't be following baseball this year.
I believe Tori Hunter even sent champagne to the KC clubhouse to "thank us."
He did, and didn't he get in trouble/fined by MLB for it because it broke some technicality rule?
