Being from crapids, Linn-mar is a bad fball school. We beat them by like 64 points my senior year 2009.

If I had to pick a CR school, it would probably be Xavier now, but before then it would have been either Washington or Kennedy. Pairie was always reasonably good, but never had stand out players like Wash. and Kennedy had.

Being this in the football forum, I have to laugh at this one. Linn-Mar hasn't put out any quality D1 talent since the early 90's. I graduated in 94 and I don't think any of my classmates got any sniffs from D1 schools, and it's gone down hill since. I know there was a stretch of a few years where they only won like 1 game...in three years.
Oops i meant Cedar Falls. (Both red and black kitties) as for linn mar wasnt Iowa qb driscoll from linn mar?

Full disclosure, I coach at Dowling and I know we have had some pretty talented kids, especially as of late but I'm not sure we have the upper level D1 talent year in and year out that a Valley or Cedar Falls seem to have. Seems that lately Waukee has a pretty high level of talent at the top of their roster but suffer somewhat from depth. What I think we do have is a high amount of D2 kids sprinkled in with some D1's that make us competitive. What makes it fun for me to coach them is a bunch of great attitudes. I'm curious, from you guys that represent other schools, who they have on D1 rosters right now. I assume Ankeny, Valley, Bettendorf and City High have quite a few. Off the top of my head-
ISU-
Tyler Harmeyer
Ben Goaley
Ben Boesen

Iowa-
Tommy Gaul
Jon Wisnieski
Drew Zaun

Michigan-
Amara Darboh

Arizona St
Matt Haack

Notre Dame
Eric Lee

Western Ill
TJ Palme
Michael Palme

Connor Bravard was at UNI but is now at IWCC and I think will be the starter for them this year. Would not be surprised if he is playing FCS or on a roster at a BCS school next year.

Michael Hudson was playing for Army but transferred last year to Drake. We have a couple other guys there.

There are a few D1 prospects on our current roster that we'll try not to screw up too bad.

Valley sends a guy d1 more years than not. Hard to find another school in the state that does that consistently.
Also, guys from valley go JuCo and go d1 relatively often as well, more so recently.

I don't mean to be disrespectful, but if schools like Ankeny or Valley could recruit the way Dowling does, they'd have just as many (or more) graduates as Dowling playing at D1 schools.

I know for a fact that Valley "recruits" or at least they did when I went there a few years ago.

no love for Iowa City West?
I had west as #2.. if it was all sports I would say #1. But city historically probably takes the cake still. That said West has at least 1 d1 football recruit every year and usually many more. I went to west we had 4 d-1 in my class alone and 10 in the building my senior year. Not to mention the many d2, naia and juco scholarship players as well as d3 folks.
