Really Jerry Kill?!?!?! How much drugs have you done in your life?

Four NIU coaches in a row have been extremely "HOT" coaches. No AD is that good. NIU is near a lot of talent, one of the in state B1G teams can't capitalize on it and the other can't even get the in state talent accepted into the university. As long as NIU is in the MAC with lots of winnable games, NW has admission standards, and Illinois sucks, NIU will continue to have "great coaches" every time they hire somebody.

I think the reporter did his job then. Wouldn't you agree?

Also, the more Lazard comes out in the media and says he's staying committed, the less likely he is to change his mind in the last hour, no matter what may happen with coaches or whatever.

I agree, Lazard really can't decommit now. I am not saying I wouldn't be shopping around either. If anything though this should help CPR with the part of the fanbase that is calling for him. Not many coaches go 1-11/2-10 and still pull in guys like Lazard and Mister

I think 2-3 confirmations worded differently could have been doing his job. Asking for 7-8 confirmations worded differently from an Iowa fan who called us "Cyclowns" on the air is well into the unprofessional zone.

Adam Woodbury was ranked similarly high and Iowa basketball was just as bad, did Iowa media hound the kid about his dumb decision to join what had just been the worst BCS conference basketball program? I'm guessing he never had a TV interview where they asked him 10 times if he was still going to Iowa when they got blown out by Campbells Soup. Maybe he was already signed when that blowout happened, but that program SUCKED when a highly recruited Iowa kid signed with them anyway.

I just think some are too sensitive.

No one really thinks of Sioux City as part of Iowa.

Lol you got to be kidding me.

Jerry Kill can't even coach some of the games due to his seizures. If I was a player, that'd be a red flag. It's scary stuff and who knows how much longer he coach. I for one think he should leave coaching all together.

And somehow, despite Kill's medical issues, Minnesota is 8-2 and #25 in BCS. That would look pretty good right now...

Kill is in his third year and having a breakout season, something Rhoads has failed to do in five years.

Lazard switches his commitment from Iowa State to Notre Dame because I mean, why not get one more good nut kick going into the off season...

I also heard he calls Notre Dame weekly, not really sure why if he is 100% all in on Iowa State. I doubt he switches but he is also a 18 year old kid who had to watch a dumpster fire of an offense in Ames this year and he has to do whats best for his future and I really think him coming to Ames isn't it if he wants to be in the NFL.

Sorry to be a debbie downer, but if I'm a 5 star recruit at WR I wouldn't wanna play for Messingham, let alone play with a QB who can't throw a ball accurately more than 8 yards. Like I said, I doubt he switches but wouldn't be completely shocked either.

A healthy Richardson with a healthier offensive line is a good qb, and I'm sure Lazard knows that. He also probably has a pretty good opinion of Lanning.

Do you realize how much of an idiot you are?

Cole Sear: I see dumb people.
Malcolm Crowe: In your dreams?
[Cole shakes his head no]
Malcolm Crowe: While you're awake?
[Cole nods]
Cole Sear: Walking around like regular people. They don't see each other. They only see what they want to see. They don't know they're dumb.
Malcolm Crowe: How often do you see them?
Cole Sear: All the time. They're everywhere.

Minnesota and Indiana have had the absolute easiest 4 game non conference slates you could imagine lately. It's not like it's working miracles to get 8 wins when you schedule 4 games like that and also play in a bad football conference. They lost at home to Iowa by more than we did. I could envy dozens of football programs but Minnesota isn't one of them.

Iowa pretty much dominated Minnesota and Minny now has Wisconsin and at MSU left. Im guessing they lose both of those games by 2 TDs or more.

Murph and Andy talked about it today. Murph said nothing surprised him, still expects him to go to ISU. The one thing I did hear was that Lazard still calls the ND staff about once a week.

I didn't hear the interview, but from what I saw reported it said he talks with the ND staff about once per week. They are calling him if I understand it correctly. If so, that is quite different than him calling them.

He says in the interview he calls them.

I still don't understand why people are so up in arms over Sears. It was an interview predicated on Lazard's commitment to Iowa State. So yes, he should give Lazard several chances to say multiple times he won't be going elsewhere.

If it was an interview about what he wants to accomplish next year at Iowa State and Sears kept asking about his commitment to Iowa State, then that would be out of the context of the purpose of the interview. Again, the interview was about his recruitment and commitment to Iowa State.

So, just watched the video. At first, I was thinking, "OK, you guys are over-reacting, he's not asking it too many times," ... but then I got to the "Is ISU really a good path to the NFL?" question and I thought that was kind of douchy.

(BTW - ALZ's answer was great! "Come on, there are guys from D3 schools in the NFL, you idiot.")

And then, that "one last question" "When people ask if you're still going to ISU, do you tell them yes every time?"

That again was kind of douchy.

(and yes, John Sears DOES have a weird head!)

I'm assuming you misquoted him regarding calling Sears an idiot.

Playing that schedule in that conference.

Jesus, some of the people on here absolutely refuse to take everything into account. Just knee jerk away, and spout off.

Kill is a good coach, who will be forced into retirement because he has 5 seizures a season. But to look at that piece of **** of a conference, and not be able to put two and two together to see a direct cause and effect, is absolutely pathetic.

Well if you say it that way, it doesn't have the negative effect that so many of these "fans" want.
