This show is killing the golden goose. Seems like the objective is to have nothing happen as long as possible. This season has been a joke.
Seriously? I think this has been the best season yet.

I think the secret here is just to admit to yourself that this show just is not ever going to be great. I mean, it's good. I enjoy it, but it's never going to be great. It's never going to be Breaking Bad or Sopranos. That first season you kind of thought it could get to that level but....It's just going to be something you want to watch on Sunday nights. I've come to terms with it.
I enjoyed these two. Looks like I might be in a small number here.
Good question. I'd like to know how it was done. Like they said on Talking Dead, it seemed like the governor and those guys had just left that camp, hunted a little and then went back to the camp and everyone was dead. Maybe they hunted for hours in which case it'd make more sense but maybe someone went stealth mode. And what made the governor go back to the camp to discover all of the bodies?
Could be. That could have been when he decided that Pete and Martinez had to die. Mitch wanted to rob the place.Good questions... I thought the Governor was going back to the camp to take them out and steal their stuff.

I was confused about that whole deal. Did that camp get attacked on the same outing that the group initially saw it? Or was it a later outing? And how did the Governor know? It's like he has superman hearing or psychic senses.

I'm not so sure.. they didn't show the Governor alone in the woods. They kept the three of them together... and the Governor was scared enough to pack up, leave and when he returned, fortify the camp.I dont think that camp getting ransacked needed to be explained. There were several points in the show set up to be examples of the Governor's reasoning/rationalizing for doing things. Symbolic only.

I just don't get how all these "camps" out in the woods near the prison seem happy go lucky, yet, the prison is getting surrounded by hoards.
I guess for me, I didn't need 2 episodes of backstory and spoonfeeding character development on the gov. One or two scenes with him and the young girl and his "new" friends, would have been enough to know. That is what was so great about Breaking Bad, they didn't ever spoon feed us stuff, everything had a purpose.
The other thing that has bugged me about this show, is how "slow" it has always felt. I think sometimes that is intentional, to play up how hard the mundane things are for these people now compared to in the past, but sometimes it always seems to me that many story lines take one or two too many episodes to wrap up, the farm, the flu, woodbury, etc.
Only thing that left my scratching my head after last night was when the Governer and his new family attempted to leave the camp in the middle of the night and they come across a creek bed filled with zombies stuck in the mud. What did that have to do with their ability to leave the camp? The music that played was "dread" type music like it was this huge ordeal.
Anyone else think that was a weird scene?
