I have to laugh every time people say coach K would be a bad hire because he was our OL coach last year.

IRRC, it was the TE's coach (Fountain?) that stuck around through signing day, and then bolted to join the empire on the plains. McFarland was paid the remainder of his contract, which was 6mo or a year, I forget. He was volunteer coaching at Gilbert or one of the other high schools north of Ames last I knew.

You're right - I think it was more a professional courtesy to make sure that the signing day wasn't too disastrous.

One complain re: McFarland's offense was his offense racked up tons of yards but not points.

I've heard strippers be more honest than you!

i'd be shocked if rhoads even contacted mangino

Dear heavens, I hope not...

My guess is that your friend on the team actually read the made up rumor on CyFan and then told you and you proceeded to post it here, thus completing the circle.

I would be very disappointed if we hired Mangino. Although I will say if we hire him that probably means he's changed some for the better.

I hope not. Do not want him at all. I'd rather have Coach K.

he was considered a **** while at Kansas - even if he knows offensive FB why invite a cancer into your locker room?

Not happening.

Lol.

I'm 100% back in CPR's camp. He did not delay anything on Dec. 1, and then went out and signed good, qualified coaches.

A good day to be a Cyclone.

No reason to delete anything. Myself and others critical of Mangino are excited about his coaching and suspect about his off the field issues. Nothing wrong with that.

And it's a good thing nobody cares what you think.

You have a right to your opinion and I have a right to mine, it's that simple. I'm not just going to ignore his past problems now that he's been hired.

I'm going to go ahead and quibble with this. You don't actually have a right to an opinion, at least, not in the "Bill of Rights" sense.
