Is this another "one and done" Kansas team?

I did not and will not read as all the posts, so pardon me if this has been brought up, but you are all crazy if you think KU isn't going past the 2nd round. Bill Self is the best
coach in the country and has access to the best talent in the country every year. One and done, yep, and he'll do it again and again. Won't stop their success.

Like I said ... The Texas game proves just how teams can punish KU. Love it. KU will be lucky to make it through game 2 in March.

I love how when ISU has a game where a lot of their players simply miss shots they normally make (KU @ISU) it is just that ISU played worse than normal and it's OK, but when KU does the same it is a sign of a serious problem. KU shot a pretty pathetic 38% today and and were lazy on the boards. Odds are that today was out of the ordinary and they will improve those items moving forward.

KU played lethargic today and missed a bunch of shots they have been making for the last few weeks. If the worst thing that happens to Kansas is that they lose on the road to the 2nd best team in the conference then they are in great shape for Big 12 #10 straight.

And I doubt very highly we run into a team in game 2 of the tourney that has the size of Texas. We'll see. Odds are we will have made some modifications by then.

KU played intimidated by equal size, was out hustled, showed no heart, got hammered on the boards, made lazy passes, and generally had no answer for Texas . . . oh, KU shooting was lousy at 38%. Odds are the game against Tehjas is a good illustration of what will happen to KU in the NCAA tourney.

If the worst thing that happens to Kansas is that they lose on the road to the 2nd best team in the conference (as of right now)then they are in great shape for Big 12 #10 straight . . . which doen't mean crap anymore to Kansas fans.

This. It's only a matter of time until The Mayor is recruiting toe-to-toe with the best of them and gaining the caliber of players out if high school that puts us I to contention year in and year out.

No, he isn't. His 2014 class isn't in the Top 40 yet. 2013 class was #30 (5th in the Big 12), 2012 class was not in the Top 25 (all that is listed on ESPN). Don't let the fact that he is in on Vaughn pollute your brain. He isn't recruiting toe to toe with the best of them yet. One guy (who you haven't even signed yet) does not a program make.

Meh, perhaps. We'll see, but I doubt it. Is Kansas @ISU results an indicator of how ISU will play the rest of the year? Doubtful. I know you hate Kansas and it's fun to see them lose.

If you think that the regular season Conference Title doesn't mean anything any more to Kansas fans then you are an idiot. Every Kansas fan I know understands that the conference title, especially in a league with a true round robin, is a the true indicator of just how good your team is in a season. The ncaa tourney is a fluky process of matchups and game prep. We love it when Kansas does well in the tourney but we take great pride in adding to our conference title totals.

Just correcting an error. Maybe this is a better level of recruiting than Iowa State has had in recent history, I don't know. I don't follow ISU recruiting season by season. I am simply pointing out that he is in fact not recruiting toe to toe with the best of them. Vaughn would help with that tremendously, obviously.

As for being threatened, please. Barnes has had ELITE level recruiting at Texas for years. Ever heard of a guy named Kevin Durant? He had arguably one of the greatest freshmen years in history, but went 0-2 against Kansas and finished the season looking up at KU at the Top of the Big 12 standings. And Self is twice the coach he was back in 06-07 so bring it on. Frankly, I HOPE that Hoiberg starts pulling some elite recruits. I love to watch Kansas match up against great teams. I'd rather KU get challenged and lose a few than coast playing nobody. It makes winning that much more enjoyable knowing you really had to earn it. And if they are to lose a game or the Big 12 title to a good team, hats off to them. At least it would be a good team that took it from KU.

This is not sour grapes. I re-watched the game at Kansas tonight, and decided Kansas is getting plenty of home cooking. If you watch the replay, you can insult me, but I won't listen to you if you haven't. I am not saying that we would have won if the calls hadn't been one-sided. That is impossible to predict, but I think Kansas can be beaten.

They beat us at home because we played terrible. I don't say this because I have anything against home cooking, if we got what Kansas gets. I do wonder at times why we don't.

I think Kansas is a good team but wouldn't at all be surprised that they get knocked off before the sweet sixteen. I wanted to go on record for having said that.

Oh, you "decided"? And how many bad calls that went ISU's way did you count? ZERO probably. Good grief, how convenient. I have re-watched the game as well and "decided" that Niang should have been called for approximately 14 moving screens but NONE of them were called. I gave up counting calls against ISU that were technically fouls by the exact definition of the book but that were not called. I will ignore the no call on whoever that was rolling around on the floor under Embiid that tripped him as he scored a bucket. You can watch ANY game between ANY two teams and come to the same one sided determination if you want to.

There is no team in the tourney that I would be SHOCKED to see lose by the Sweet Sixteen, even soon to be #1 Syracuse. Heck, Boeheim has made a career of losing before the Elite Eight. Kansas has a young, talented team. Sometimes young talent plays to their talent level and sometimes it plays to their experience level. You never know. I won't be surprised by anything this year. I just want them to win the conference and not shoot themselves in the foot in the tourney like they did against Michigan last year. If someone else beats them because they outplay them, hats off to them.

Your interest in my personal life is a bit creepy. If you have something to add to the conversation, feel free.

You say that every year. That means over the last 7 years you've been correct 14% of the time. Take that info and run to Vegas, you'll be rich. I'll give you this, if you keep saying it every year, you'll be right again eventually.

Therefore I gave your team a compliment. You should be happy. I like the Kansas team. Just don't like the calls you get, and the way they swagger foolishly on the bench. Can't they learn to cheer like normal people?

I have watched ISU players woof it up from the bench on big plays. It just doesn't bug you because they're your team. Anything Kansas does besides lose will annoy you.

He's certainly the most frequent signer of transfers. Not sure if that's a long term solution to get to the next level. It's more of a "finger in the leaky dam" approach to recruiting.
