Are you going to be the victim advocate for maryland every thread on rankings? I see you have been. We played Maryland thinking theyes were a mediocre team we would steam roll and they came into that came looking to make a statement. If that game were played today it is highly dout full the result would be the same. That game is not definitive. We have more top 50 wins. Give it a rest.

lol what? I think you're thinking of someone else. I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever mentioned Maryland in any thread. I'm not surprised that most disagree with me, it is just an opinion. I just happened to look at their results earlier today and thought that if the roles were reversed, a majority of us would be complaining.

lol @ the Maryland game argument.

November game
Thomas and Nader coming off suspensions.
Team was a cluster ****
No McKay
Did I mention the game was in November?
Head to head means nothing when it comes to the rankings unless the game occurred recently, and then it only kind of matters.

I can rattle off at least five other teams that deserve it more than they do.

They are a product of their conference. A lot of teams in that conference with brand recognition who really aren't playing all that well right now. They have some nice wins under their belt as well. I hate saying this, but they deserve top 25 as much as anyone else in that 18 - 35 range. You can make a case for others, sure, but you can make a case for Iowa as well. Beating UNC really helped their perception with the voters. The big question is weather or not they can avoid their meltdown that we saw last year. Outside of Wisconsin though, most of the conference is meh.

As much as I'd love if Iowa lost out the rest of the year, their record to start B1G play warrants a Top 25 placing. Now, saying that, the B1G is so bad this year that Wisky might win it by 4 or 5 games and Iowa could be 2nd, it's that terrible top to bottom. Ohio State, Michigan, Indiana, and Nebraska all look like 8th or 9th place teams in the Big 12 this year.

Why do people keep leaving Maryland out of their BoneG discussions? They are the second highest ranked team in the conference and they beat us head to head on a neutral court. I know the conference realignments are confusing and all, but.

Don't mentioned Maryland...it obviously hits a nerve.

You must have missed the other 7 reasons why I said that, in my opinion, they should be ranked ONE spot higher than us. Holy ****, you guys act like it is unfathomable that anyone ever ranks anyone higher than us. It's really not that big of a deal guys...sorry I posted my opinion on a message board.

I don't really know about you, but some people like to think there is no way to justify us being higher. That gets annoying. I don't think most people think it is unfathomable to have Maryland higher.

I think there are definitely stats and reasons that would justify us being higher. I just happen to think there are more reasons (at this time) to justify them being higher. I would not be surprised either way to have us be 1 or 2 spots from each other, with either team being the higher rank. It was just an opinion that I posted and got lambasted for it.

I think people are sensitive to that thought process I described and they overreact some if someone ranks Maryland higher.

The Big 10 is such a Porta John this season outside Wisconsin that I think Iowa just might finish second or third. It's Wisconsin and Maryland, and then it's a pillow fight for 3-14. IMO the only teams that deserve to be ranked in that league are Wiscky, Maryland, and maybe Indiana or Michigan State.

With the schools right below us, except Kansas and Maryland, how do you all feel we would do head-to-head vs:

#10 Louisville. Loss
# 12 Utah. Win ?
#14 Whichy St. Win
# 15 N Carolina. Win
#20 UNI. Loss? they always give us fits.

Most of the teams in the 8-14 range besides Iowa St are hard to rank as they all look good and have good records, but only have about 1 quality win a piece.

Louisville can't score: W
Utah: Overrated W
WSU: W
UNC: W (Most of their fans would probably agree too)
UNI: lolW
Maryland rematch: W
@ KU: W
