Please contact Vegas and tell them we were actually the favored team.

This game was horrible but jeez there is some dumb crap on here after losses.

Tech was a game worthy of being ****** off about. This was just a buzzsaw game. We shot 75% from 3 in the first half and went in tied. If your a holes weren't puckered at that point I don't know what else to say.

vegas had them favored because we suck on the road. I repeat...a team thinking of challenging for a title wins on the road. For this team there should be two sets of rankings...home and away. At home we are top ten. Away we are so low we don't even qualify for the NIT.

Bryce is the offense killer.......something about the way he turns it over just takes the air out of the team and gives the other teams 5, 6, 7, point runs on us after one of his crappy shots or turnovers. ug.

This team has just tonight played themselves into a second round NCAA tourney date with Duke on the "neutral" court of Charlotte, N.C......and I don't really feel sorry for them after seeing this **** poor free throw shooting and ***** defense.

Did you watch the game?
Bryce missed five shots amounting to 2 points scored for OU because we gave up two offensive rebounds after the missed shot.

He had two turnovers - after the first one in the first half, we went on a 13-6 run. The one in the second half amounted to layup.

So his missed shots and turnovers amounted to 4 points. In 15 minutes played he scored 14 points (2/2 FT's), 6 rebounds and two turnovers and you are blaming him for this loss? Bryce's play was far from the reason we lost this game.

Should keep all the meltdowns in check. If Tech has the talent to beat you, you should not meltdown over losing at OU and being 17-6 and 7-4. Enjoy the ride, even the bumps. Maybe another year we will never have a bad possession, let alone a bad game.

Quite the contrary, Tech is the only reason I'm not melting down.

We will probably beat OU by 20 at home, thats the sickening part about this. Id rather win both games by one point than lose by ten and win the other by ten.

This team hasn't won 3 games in a row in conference play yet. That worries me because how do you expect to do anything in the tournament if the best win streak you can do is 2?

Best win streak in conference play:

Kansas: 5 games
Oklahoma: 5 games
Kansas State: 4 games
Baylor: 3 games
OSU: 3 games
WVU: 3 games
Texas: 2 games
ISU: 2 games

Seemed like Niang got the ball primarily on the perimeter again after getting away from that for a few games.

Seems like the least effective spot on the floor for Niang to get the ball is on the perimeter too close to the baseline. When he drives laterally across the court towards the lane it seems like he always gets stuffed or spins into a double team.

Might have something to do with our schedule. This years team has not lost two gsmes in a row yet. Something only us and Kansas have done. Goes both ways.

That's because he could not do anything against Thomas and Spangler near the paint. Those two owned us like most thought they would. Not a good matchup for us. OU is a better, more talented team.

People decry this team's defense, and it has flaws, yes, but it was highly solid in the first half, relative to this system, with the makeup of the roster.

Where did ISU lose a competitive edge, late in the same half? On offense, our bread-and-butter, thanks to a string of hot-potato possessions in the final three minutes, turning a 7-point lead into a tie.

Irony, anyone?

No. Fred will have this team ready by March, I can't believe we're in year 5 and some people think otherwise. Definitely not how we wanted it to turn out tonight but a win would have been a stolen game. It should not have been the expectation. Wasn't close at the end but it was still only 11 points to a ranked team that came to play at home. I'm not as bent out of shape about the defense though of course it could be better, for me it's cleaning up the turnovers. With our depth, I'd almost like to see us foul more inside the lane. We don't give up many free throws but I'd like to put the other team at the line more rather than give up some easy layups.

I'm not. Same trend happened last year and everyone enjoyed the finish.

Much like your wife, I thought the finish happened too early, and I was unsatisfied. I see the same thing happening this go-round.

<full disclosure, while frustrated, I'm not freaking out, but dammit, that joke was just too well set up for me to let pass>
