Calipari to the Pelicans?
If that happens, expect sanctions to come crashing down on Kentucky the following day.

Hope Cali gets the job and the other one is filled so Bulls have no teams to trade Thibs for. Too bad Bulls.

If Fred was staying he would have commented by now. That much I know.

I would suspect he's just bargaining the contract with the Bulls. His 10 year 26 million contract at ISU could be used to leverage something pretty awesome in the NBA.

Not if he wants a new contract from Jamie.
So he would sabotage recruiting and the future for a new contract when he can just walk into Jamie's office and say "I will stay with a new contract"?

Fred doesn't have to play coy with Jamie.

Exactly. If you think Fred is staying but is just keeping quiet so he can put the screws to ISU for a bigger contract then you have a low opinion of the man. He just signed a long-term deal last year. He wouldn't jeopordize recruiting and leave the fan-base twisting in the wind just to squeeze more $$$ from ISU.

It is the freaking Bulls....it isn't like he is leaving for the Bucks. Even if the Bulls were dead last in the league, this isn't a job Fred can turn down.

Sure he can. Multiple college coaches at places with far less connection have turned down numerous jobs that would have paid more and gotten them to the next level. Also, those coaches didn't make NBA money for 10 years either. If he cared as much about ISU as people thought he did, he wouldn't leave.

Not if the Bullz can't lay down a piece of paper that he could actually sign he wouldn't.

Thibs has a lot of leverage here, not necessarily the Bullz as everyone thinks.

No he is keeping quiet because he has always kept quiet about NBA rumors...

Maybe Fred know's he has a roster that can win next year and doesn't like the current market and would be willing to bank those open scholarships. Who knows.
