Please excuse me if this is a terrible question.. Does anyone know of cases where a head coach is already announced for the next season? As in a situation in the past anywhere like we are talking about.. Where, for example, Fred would say he's staying but going to X team next year and Y will be our coach the following year? Has that ever happend or are we just totally crazy now and making **** up now?

Bret said it's going to drag on longer than we'd like, so no real sense in refreshing every 5 minutes anymore.

See you guys next week!

Haha we all can still speculate.

But I am no longer in panic mode. I am "Sunny days seem to hurt the most" mode.

Adding a quick update that 2 other sources are now saying things could be hitting reverse a bit to heavily consider the TWolves opportunity for next year rather than take the Bulls this year. #1 draft pick really changed things and I wouldn't at all be surprised to hear that Fred will be back - only to have a behind the scenes "in principle" agreement to coach the TWolves next year. Mixed feelings on how that would benefit ISU given our big recruiting needs for next year.

Anybody else gotten to the point where they are ignoring just about everything said by anybody other than Jeremy?

I find myself just skimming the thread to see if he has posted anything else. And I've pretty much stopped reading reports by any traditional journalists on this subject. It seems that Jeremy has info no one has (or at least that no one else is reporting) and he does it from a perspective of what Cyclones want to know. I really appreciate it.

Seems like the T-wolves thing shouldn't have come out of the blue, though. They were the most likely team to get the #1 draft pick.
