I don't see why he wouldn't consider us at least. Does anyone know if we've reached out to him yet?
I have not seen anything linking us with him. I wonder if he has a good idea where he is going. It's weird to transfer this late.

I know it probably won't happen but this would be a bigger get than anyone we are actively recruiting.
Why would Iowa be listed as a no go team? They must play memphis in the next few years?
Same tournament this year, I think.
The tournament is in 16-17, when Nichols would be eligibleThat doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Nichols has to sit out this season so why should it matter who they play? Memphis just seems like a poorly run program that gave up after Cal left. Pastner is considered one of the worst coaches out there. For the talent he brings in and the conference the Tigers play in, there's no reason they shouldn't win 25 games every season.
Just stop. Austin Nichols doesn't make up for losing all the guys ISU loses after this season. Long, McKay, Niang and Nader... If ISU landed this guy and Monte stayed AND ISU signed three other really good players then there probably would still be a drop off.It would be huge. If we landed this guy and Monte stayed, there probably would be very little drop off. Or at least we'd be similar to Fred's first two tourney teams in talent at a minimum.

Too many question marks to know. Burton could come in and be better than Nader, I mean lets face it Nader was pretty inefficient last year. Naz has been a great player for us but I think his production can be replaced. If Monte stays and we add a player like Nichols (which won't happen) and can add a solid big guy or two, it's not out of the question to say there won't be much of a drop off.
Going to be a drop off, we are pre-season top 5 in a lot of polls. However if MM stays, Cooke/Thomas @ the 2, Burton @3, then find a couple bigs in Juco land - plus have a solid recuriting class - this can still be a tourney team.
But sustaining what we have this year is not going to happen unless we sign 4 McD's AA's

Isn't Nader also likely a starter this year?Let's say we lose 3 starters, (Naz, Jameel, Georges), return Monte and add Nichols (again, won't happen), and at least one quality big we're still a preseason top 25 team IMO. We're a preseason top 10 team now, like I said it wouldn't be much of a drop off
There is one person in the universe who can definitively answer that question for youIsn't Nader also likely a starter this year?
