Took him quite a while to figure that out though? In Kirk We Trust?

Funny. No, we don't. If you follow Iowa football closely, you'll understand that once you're the starting QB you pretty much have to take a dump on the Thanksgiving Day table at the Ferentz house to lose the job.

This sidebar argument about CJB vs Rudock reminds me of the old cliche - "if you have 2 QBs, then you really have 0 QBs".

I was really glad that this year, ISU just had one QB for a change...

Hard question that I can't really answer. All that I know is that our receivers can catch some of those 50/50 balls and our secondary can do a good job against CJB long passes.

Perspective:

Sam is going to finish his career with the most passing touchdowns in ISU history.
Betheard has started like 3 games.

Ricky Stanzi: 56 TDs and 30 INTs
Sam Richardson if he matches last years 18 TDs and 9 INTs: 55 TDs 25 INTs

SR has 4,840 yards, and if he matches last year he will end up with 7,276.

Stanzi finished with 7,377.

And I'd say that odds are pretty damn good that SR has a better season this year than last year.

So would you rather have Stanzi or Beathard?

Stanzi 3 bowl wins in 3 years as starter.
ISU 3 bowl wins in 123 years as a program.

I'll take Stanzi over CJB and pretty much every QB in ISU history.

Yeah, let's ignore the fact that Stanzi had very good defenses on those teams...

I think you confused my point. I never said that I'd take beathard. I said for Richardson to be ISU's touchdown leader, that says more about ISU than it does about Richardson. Not sure why you gave all of Stanzi's stats, he's nowhere close to the touchdown record at Iowa.
