All the best have already been mentioned, so I'll go most underrated:

Violent Femmes self-titled. If you haven't already, check it out.

Saw them at People's IN AMES!

I know Jethro Tull is an acquired taste. I always liked their sound.

I just stumbled across their second album tonight, "Stand Up!". Blown away. Ordering the cd for my collection night. It's a hidden gem.

Tull is great. I really like We Used to Know off that album. Supposedly it was the song the Eagles ripped off when they wrote Hotel California.

Yeah, it's probably the best track. I like it a lot.

Didn't know the Eagles trivia. Intetesting.

The flute into guitar solo is just friggin magical on that song. Just fantastic. Martin Barre doesn't get mentioned much in great guitarist conversations, but he's amazing.

REM's early stuff was killer. Murmur was great but probably my all time favorite REM album was Life's Rich Pageant.

As a life long REM fan, i've never understood why Murmur is so loved and LRP doesn't gets due. LRP might be my favorite record of all time.

I want to mention the album A New Hope from Minipop. It's fairly old, it came out in 2007, but I have only know about this band over the past few months thanks to Pandora. They have a great sound, their singer is female who has an amazing voice, and their music is very dreamy, which makes me feel like I'm floating. The album is a wonderful set of ten songs. I would give it a 10/10, accept that there is one song that I do not care for, so I am giving it a 9/10.

They have a Bandcamp page, so after hearing most of the songs on Pandora, I decided that I would support them and downloaded the album for $8. I will post a few of their songs from the album that I like the most. I hope you guys will give them a listen, and hopefully you will like them as much as I do.

Gonna stick with Pet Sounds. Love the sound coming out of my custom speakers and McIntosh Mc240.

LA LA Land
Rubber Soul - The Beatles
Abbey Road - The Beatles
The Bends - Radiohead
Forever Changes - Love (forgotten masterpiece)
Murmur - REM (kudos to whoever mentioned it before)
What's Goin On - Marvin Gaye
Thriller - Michael Jackson
Pet Sounds - Beach Boys

tough to pick but it'd be among those for me

I'd throw Document in there (people dismiss it because of its commercial success but it's great well beyond just the hits). Not really an album but the Chronic Town EP is absolutely fantastic as a sort of prequel to Murmur. Sometimes I just put Chronic Town on loop and listen to it while i work on projects for an hour or two.

Great call on The Bends. Radiohead's best album is often thought to be OK Computer, but for me it's The Bends all day.

I find it funny that a kid that is at the most 20 is telling us that people that like Kanye don't know hip-hop. Judging by your 2012 grad timeline you were 4 years old when that Nas' album came out. Don't tell me you know "real hip-hip."

It's not like being born in 1995 prevents someone from listening to and enjoying older music. I was 4 years old when Kurt Cobain died. Doesn't mean I can't consider Nirvana one of the best ever.
