Statistically this is a bad loss. UNI will only make NCAA tournament if they win the MVC tournament. I don't think it's worth panicking though.

If they do well in the MVC, they're a tournament team. They've got two great wins on their resume now. They don't necessarily have to win the conference championship.

They have two wins over top 5 teams. If they finish 2nd, they will still get in, IMO.

They won on neutral floor to an unranked mid major team with a majority ISU fanbase presence. Top 10 teams don't do that.
Pump all the sunshine you want, this loss sucks and they need to prove themselves on the road Tuesday or we are in trouble.
KU, OU and BU will sweep this team the way they played the last 2 weeks.

This is such a stupid tweet. UNI already has two resume building wins on their resume, probably two more than any other team on the "bubble" right now.

I would trade this loss AND a loss @ Cinci for 1-0 in Big 12 after playing @OU.

Never losing in November and December is usually a recipe for a letdown in January. The only reason this sucks is because it's UNI and it's never fun losing to in-state rival.

They'll need to have a great season but with wins over UNC and ISU they will get a look if they don't win their tournament. If they are MVC regular season champs it may be comfortably in.

There are no good losses. And this was against a mediocre unranked MVC team, which makes it worse than, say, losing to KU.

No its not the end of the season, but we've seen the cracks in the armor for multiple games now. This team is gonna struggle come conference time. They'll make the NCAA, which is what you're shooting for and we should be happy about as fans, but I would be shocked if they make a run at winning the Big XII.

A loss to UNIis not the end of the world. But it should be concerning that against teams that execute offense at a decent level will beat us. Our defensive effort was fine, but our guys have no idea how to defend basic screen situations. It's as if they have not been coached on the defensive end their entire time at ISU.

The horrible performances by our guards is concerning as well.

On the positive side I liked what Zi saw from Burton, Nader got back on track and McKays offense continues to improve.

My issue is that lately we just don't look good outside of Niang ...

Define lately. If lately means today, then McKay looked good today.

If lately means recently, then Thomas and Morris have also looked good. Not today, but lately.

Where is the world that you live in where shooting 60% from 3 on a lot of attempts is a "decent" level?

We lost to a mid major. Sure, they couldn't miss, but we blew this game. This is not a good loss.

Dude North Carolina lost to UNI. Sometimes teams play out of their minds and UNI did..they won't shoot like that again all year. Happens. From an RPI standpoint this loss won't mean much on neutral court. Thomas Rickj Man U gotta relax. It was an in state game and they hit 68% fg in the first half. That happens like once every other year for a lot of teams. It might be a good thing for this team. What I like is Prohm is trying to develop this team on the defensive end and come conference and tourney time that will benefit us.
