I think Uthoff is a nice player, but I think if you put a good defender on him and get physical with Uthoff his effectiveness can be minimized. On defense I think Uthoff benefits from Woodbury's presence in the middle that he can come off his guy to block shots.

I would take Georges everyday because he is Mr. Inside & Mr.Outside. Plus if you need a pressbreaker, no problem. Uthoff is very good, Georges is great.

I've seen a few Hawk postsrs say Uthoff is a better NBA prospectm. The NBA is a MAN's game, I am skeptical Uthoff can take the physical play.

Way up there
Georges averages more points and twice as many assists, not sure how this is even a debate. One guy is a one trick pony who can only score (yet still averages less ppg), the other is an all around beast who makes the guys around him better. Unless we're talking first half players, then Uthoff may be the best in the country.

Gorm

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

You didn't notice because he disappeared from the ******* game. He was a ghost. I think he first shot in the 2nd half was with 7 min left? Yeah, that's the guy I want leading my team.....

dont let his 30 pt half blind you, people. He is a guy who transferred because he wasn't playing and Niang is a guy who has been one of the highest scoring and most winning players in ISU history.

Its not close.

Who cares if he transferred? We have had plenty of successful transfers. I am partial to Niang but Uthoff is having a great year as well

Assume you are picking players in a pick up game. Also assume you knew both players and weren't an ISU or Iowa fan. Pretty much every unbiased person would choose Niang.

Somewhere in the U.S.
I think Georges still has a slight edge. Statistically, Uthoff leads in blocks, and a slight edge in 3 pt. shooting percentage (by making 3 more than Georges on the same number of shots), but that's it.

I think Georges is much more of a mismatch nightmare for other teams than Uthoff is, and George is much more an overall asset on offense, given the number of assists he provides. I also think Georges provides more leadership to his team than Uthoff does to his....and I'm not talking about just statistics here.

Finally, George has done this for at least 3 if not 4 years now. Uthoff is finally having a great season and getting some attention in his final year.

Could you imagine if Hield played D on Uthoff like he did on Georges Monday? Uthoff would curl up in the fetal foal position and neigh.
