Jok is third in the big ten in steal rate. He's become one of the better defenders in the league.
Monte Morris is averaging the most steals of his career this season and is easily having the worst defensive season of his career
The funny thing is, when you compare wins and losses according to KenPom rating ISU is way more impressive.
Beat #44 team on the road or lose to #45 neutral?
Beat #16 twice or beat #3 and #4 for your best wins?
KenPom is the best ranking their is that intentionally removes winning and losing games from its ranking.

Yeah. I think ISU is playing below their potential right now we're Iowa is maxing out what they have. ISU has a higher ceiling so I am pretty excited for the rest of the season
Wichita State without Van Vleet? Cmon man. They went 0-3 that tournament with losses to Bama Iowa and USC
I don't disagree with this. I think ISU is the kind of team that can get hot and win several in a row. If they do that come tourney time then watch out. They are also the kind of team that can have an off night and inexplicably lose to a team they should beat. If they do that come tourney time... watch out. Their defense is absolutely a weakness, but if they stay hot offensively it may or may not come back to haunt them.
Iowa seems to be a little bit more even keel. They have been playing good all around basketball. They defend, rebound, and block shots pretty well. Different players have stepped up at different times on offense with Uthoff and Jok remaining pretty consistent night in and night out. If they can keep that consistency going they could win a couple games in the tourney, but once they meet a team that is just simply better than them they'll get beat.
Honestly, it's pretty neat to have two teams from the state of Iowa playing at this level. Makes things interesting.
Fair enough. I said that they'd go far at the beginning of the year. Not so sure without Naz, but also wouldn't surprise me. IMO this is the year to do it.
Uthoff is really good. Georges is really good. Arguments can definitely be made either way but I'm never worried in tight games if we're down late because of the Georges factor. He's proven to be a clutch player several times throughout his career. Uthoff has had a tendency to disappear in crunch time up to this point and that is the biggest difference between the two.
Iowa actually has more impressive wins in Sagarin than KenPom, a road win over the number five team, Purdue, is probably the best win any team has according to Sagarin.
