Are you serious? Yes the Bob Cousy, Jerry West, Julius Erving, Karl Malone, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Awards are pretty big deals
You've probably never heard of the awards because Iowa basketball has been irrelevant the past 10 years.

The Karl Malone award has been around for 1 year.
Yes, they added 4 awards to go with the Cousy Award. They're kind of a big deal if you are finalist for it. Montrezl Harrell won it last year
Unfortunately for Uthoff, these awards also take into account for second half performances in games too.
He disappears more than wallets on a NYC subway, he's not a leader, and everyone hates Iowa. Makes total sense.
You have to give Uthoff credit his first half play has allowed Iowa to go from a bubble team to a top 15 team.
They must not take into account home losses.

ISU plays in a real conference though so it doesn't really make sense to compare
Yet a win over the great Uthoff, who most Iowa fans couldn't probably name at the beginning of the year. Glad your BB team is good so you can pretend to care.
