This team has been a big disappointment and I was one looking to this year with more than we have seen. Maybe it was because of Naz, or further development of McCay, or bench would develop, or Fred didn't make that big a difference but the truth is, there isn't anyone in cyclone nation that would have predicted where we sit right now. So hate all you want but the truth is.....our best hope is they get really hot and run about 6-8 games In row between the big 12 tourney and the ncaa tourney to make this anything other than disappointing. Truth.

What is this guy talking about? We will finish at minimum 10-8 after last night. That was a huge win imo in getting over that .500 hump. We will be favored heavily in our remaining home games and if we manage to steal one on the road we can still finish 11-7.

Also, you should probably learn to spell Mckay's name if you are going to mention him in a post. Idiot.

What would be interesting is if we could some how win out. I think the records would be all tied at first place if WVU, OU and KU all dropped one more game outside of us.

Not realistic, but I've seen the Cyclones do some amazing things over the last four years.

Are you serious?? Texas is nothing and we held on. Season changing?? Wow! Good luck with that. I am seriously hoping to finish in the top half of the big 12. Is it too much to expect this great team to deliver a 10+ point win at some point?? The tide drifted our way tonight but I was still not sold that we were in complete control

You been watching college basketball with a radio or something.
Because you are living in the past, lots of good teams this year, you are not going to have many blowouts.

You almost have to wonder if daddy left his computer up and 13 year old Jimmy got on, found the site, created a username and started jumping in. The level of dumbness on this is unequaled. I understand frustration when we lose, but, when we win most fans decide to celebrate. It reminds me of the guys who have to post and begin their posts with, "I am sorry but". It's like they are so much smarter than everybody else that they have to apologize for being the smartest kid in the room.

The only bad part about your statements are, yes we have done some amazing things, but, they are both awesome amazing and dumbfounding amazing. The last two years we have been the epitome of stealing victory from sure defeat and stealing defeat from sure victory. I only hope that we get on a run and start doing the former.

What would be interesting is if we could some how win out. I think the records would be all tied at first place if WVU, OU and KU all dropped one more game outside of us.

Wel I guess you are just really old and still hold out hope every year that somehow the pre-season hype is worth the belief. Have you checked out the schedule coming up?? Texas was ranked 24th. One notch ahead of witchita St who at 25th got beat by UNI at home (oh wait we lost to them too), and their #1 big guy is out hurt, and #2 guy was strapped with fouls. If this is what you think is season changing go for it. But with the schedule on the road we have we will be lucky to finish top half. I love the players on this team, but I can't like certain things. They are always close games.....if we are that good we should have some breathers. If you think that is what we had tonight---okay. I say right now top half of conference would be good. So have everyone say "idiot" which is just typical. I'm sure Campbell is going to finish in the top half next year and make a bowl game too. I say---"realist". You all say "idiot". So be it......

If your expectation for ISU is to finish in the top half in football next year, probably means you are going to post more irrational posts in the fall. Oh well its good for a laugh

I know, we finally have a comfortable win over a solid Texas team who had been on a roll lately and all of sudden this guy is upset we only won by 10.

While I think the op is going overboard, the amount of stupid in this post hurts.

We need mobile like! I couldn't possibly agree with this response more!

Texas is as good as anyone right now and are full of confidence - expecting a comfortable win is crazy. That said, with our veteran team at home, this is a game should be a win - definitely not season changing.

Let's not let the emotional pendulum swing too far, whether after a frustrating loss or a nice win.

One game should never be considered a "season changing win" IMO..... especially not with this team. They are so up and down all the time you never know what you're going to get with them.

What they need to do is string together some good wins, and win a few of them in dominating fashion IMO. We need to put someone away by 15+ sometime to show that we have a killer attitude and don't relax every time we get up by 8-10 points.

There were definitely some positives to take out of last night's victory, but we had our mental lapses again too.... way too often IMO. We still have a lot to clean up to get where we need to get.

But make no mistake, last night was a big step in the right direction.

I don't disagree that we had some mental lapses. But sometimes those are due as much to the opponent as they are to us.

Texas is a good team. Sometimes playing a good team means that you make stupid mistakes. It's not easy playing a good team. Same thing with Texas. Some of the mistakes they made were due to playing a good team.

Sometimes I think our fans assume that every mistake is made because the team isn't trying hard enough or isn't doing what they know they should be doing. That's just not the case. Sometimes I think that some of you would only accept a win if we give up 0 points and score on every procession.

If McKay can give his full effort at all times this team is as good as any other in the nation. I hope we can close out this year winning out. If we play like we did tonight, it's certainly possible.

Hate me, but figure out what all you unrealistic BB fan's are going to put in the trophy shelf that you dusted off for the NCAA Championship trophy, or Big 12 trophy. Feel free to say "idiot" but the truth is you should be saying "realist". Season changing win tonight??? Who is the idiot?

I don't know if you're an idiot or not but you sure are kind of weird.

Hey Roch why would I bet against the clones? I am a fan believe it or not. I just get a bit tired in these rooms how I hear fans talk about how great we should be but we make excuses why we lose. So keep your $700 or whatever, I don't need the money or tickets and just say something worth while.

Yeah, you are a real fan. 18 posts and you just joined this month. My money would be on you being a Hok troll.

As far as the subject of this thread....no... one game that you are favored to win at home, and you win at home is not season-changing. Now, if the team goes on to win at least 2 of the last 3 road games (or all of them) and finishes out the home season with wins, then maybe we as fans can point back to this game as the turning point..but it is much too early to say anything more than it was a game they should have won and did win.

There's an old engineering statement "One data point doesn't make a trend". But this is a good start.

You're singing my song. The other team is on scholarship and every once in awhile they make good plays too. Some comments make me think some folks feel with the thousands of moments in a game we should win them all and win 150 - 0 otherwise someone sucks, CSP can't coach or whatever.

Win out at home and steal 1 on the road and I think it will be a successful conclusion to the regular season.

I think that we won a game that we should have won. Most of the 7 losses still have me baffled. This team is really a top 5 team that has unexplained lapses at the end of games...

sorry but ISU is not a top 5 team....just not good enough defensively consistently.
