Linden does and says what he wants. Chili Mac mod is all powerful.
-The Candyman is afraid to say Linden's name in front of a mirror.
-Linden can block Niang's hook shot and make Morris turn the ball over just by staring at him.
-Linden can operate Big Georges. By himself.
-All of Cyclone Fanatic is just 20,967 alts of Linden.
-Linden helped Atanasoff and Berry with their computer homework.
-Warren Buffet owes Linden 31 billion dollars for his 31 March Madness perfect brackets in a row.
-Linden walked over the MU zodiac all 4 years and still graduated Summa Cum Laude.
-Linden can come back from 12 points down in only 3 seconds.

its a lot easier at a blue blood though. Duke. That's my pick. Although, he'll have to stop sucking.

Yeah because Duke doesn't already have a line of Coach K disciples ready to coach there for the next three decades.

So,let me ask this....Does anyone think the team meeting with Fred and going to Bulls game is some big distraction? Idk it seems that when the team went to NYC they did all these things and players later said maybe it was too much..I just don't see how 2 days before the game going to an NBA game in same Arena u will play in is a distraction? If anything I'd think that it would allow them to get a little perspective on the Arena if anything.

I'm actually pretty stoked about that.....I don't see it as a distraction, and I think if CSP did he wouldn't have allowed it. I'm betting Fred's words will be a real positive force for the team going forward. I'm already beginning to re-think my game prediction from yesterday.......

Interesting that Fred and Prohm talk Xs and Os with this team. Even more interesting that Prohm WANTS that information. Knowing the egos of many, many coaches, most would never do that. Props to Prohm for at least listening.

Wow, you admire Linden almost as much as jsb admires CFH.

Hopefully Fred inspired ISU more than he inspired his own team last night. Losing handedly to a NYK team that was 6-21 coming into the game is not a great look.

successful leaders take advice. fred was clearly an in-game coach and prohm knows that.

not a no. A "I hate the Bulls, so I don't especially like their coach."

but I find it funny that we are all fawning over what he said.

What Fred said was pure class, which is what he has always shown. And how can you not like him just because he coaches the Bulls? He was a Cyclone legend as a player, came home to rescue our basketball program from the GMac disaster, gave us 4 of the best years ever in Cyclone basketball, and left the new coach with so much talent that we came out ranked top 5 or higher nationally in pre-season polls. And never say never regarding Fred coaching at ISU again someday if he wants. I have high hopes for CSP and he's done a nice job so far, but this entire team was recruited under Fred. Time will tell if CSP can recruit at this level. And it's also very possible Fred could be our A.D. someday if he wants to get into that after coaching. Better learn to like Fred because he is and always will be an ISU icon and seriously, what's there not to like?

Save your breath. Because he left to challenge himself coaching at the highest level of basketball in the world "He never wanted to be here." and if you can't see that you obviously don't have the emotional IQ that jsb has.

Prohm's ego is non existent. Not at all surprised that he is willing to listen and take advice from FH. He's team first, not coach first. Shows how confident he is in his own skin. He understands no matter how much experience one has, there is always room to grow and expand. Humble, great man IMO.

I think most if not all good coaches don't get there without listening and learning from other coaches at every opportunity, and I agree CSP is very wise to talk to and listen to Fred. Fred probably knows most of our players strengths, weaknesses, and basketball abilities better than anybody.

Not only that, but FH is really an offensive genius. He really does understand how to exploit a teams weakness.

Feel the exact same way. All season Coach Prohm has put the team first, not his agenda or ego. What a great model for the men in our program. He is very confident in himself and where he sees this program going. Our last 2 basketball coaches are such class acts. Thank you Fred and Steve! Go State.

i am not sure why it is so hard to accept he didn't want to and didn't like being the coach at Iowa state. That doesn't make him a bad person.

But some of you seem to think there was only one job he'd take. That's ********. He interviewed for multiple NBA jobs and at least one college job. You don't do that if you like your job.
