I think Jacobsen would be a great off the bench guy but it's his intangibles beyond abilities is why I like him. Hard working with a positive attitude can be very infectious for the rest of the team. I'd much rather have him over most Jucos. He's a solid known that hasn't begun to tap his own potential......and he's big. We've got plenty of schollys and will have more next year to fill the gaps IMO.

Since he would sit a year and get better as well, seems like he'd be worth a shot. Why not? Especially 'if' Morrow would chose someone else.

Not getting Juiston was a killer gut-punch IMO.

With Alstork out, if Brown doesn't pick ISU, I really do think next year is officially a rebuilding year that fans need to be prepared for. Will be fun to watch the kids develop but could be a rough go.

I'm glad you said this. You can get away with it. Not so for others of us on here. You must talk Cyclone kool-aid all the time or you aren't a true fan.

Ok. If that makes you feel better, go with it. I'm a realist. You can go on living in dreamland where Beverly was our top option all along.

Haha realist. I'm not even talking about recruiting, but posts you make during the season. Some of the dumbest takes on here. But, yeah, keep being a realist.

I always thought we should take both Morrow and Jacobson . Add these two to the following would be a pretty formidable front court.

Young, Shayok, and Lard

I think Beverly is going to be quite a good catch, PLUS he'll be a guy who REALLY WANTS to b a Cyclone!

Shayok is the only transfer and that's what I'm talking about. The staff has been pretty terrible at transfer recruiting. That's really not debatable

I agree, however, as I've said before, if we can land Brown and Morrow, then this offseason recruiting will be a success IMO no matter whoever else we might add to that.

Not getting Brown and/or Morrow probably means a long year ahead, but still fun to watch nonetheless.

Look at the competition they are facing for these guys. That's why they are missing out on guys, not because they are terrible recruiters. How many guys have even visited? Brown, Shayock and Marrow? They've gotten one, and the other two haven't made a decision yet.

It's as much competition as the high school guys. That's a weak excuse.

What difference does getting Morrow have on this coming season?

It's a small sample, but yeah, thus far plugging immediate needs hasn't been successful. Hopefully they can turn the tide and get Brown along with Beverly being surprisingly good.

There's a big difference between spring recruiting and getting preps.

So not being able to get a kid on campus for a visit isn't considered a miss? That's part of the recruiting job, getting them on campus.
