Was listening to the Murph & Andy show today, and they were going through the top 10 Cyclone Football plays in recent history. At some point, Seneca's "he was in!" run against FSU was brought up, which got me thinking: if you could choose one play from ISU football history to completely redo, or change the referee's call on, what would it be?

Mine would be the final play of the 04 Missouri game. I was in the stands, probably the first true kick to the nuts I felt from ISU football (I'm in my 20s fyi). What would yours be?

What was the last play of the game, the interception? I would think the redo would be for Shaggy to make the 24 yard field goal with a minute left to give us the lead and likely the win in regulation.

Yes, being the last play that's what stayed with me. Shaggy's kick would absolutely qualify.

For basketball it's these two because if they had gone our way we are probably playing for National Title.

Niang on the play that broke his foot.

My mind went to basketball also...the Blarge in 2000.

As far as football I'll go off the board. Nick Leaders makes the pick and we win in OT @Lincoln in 2005. I think that game going our way changes how that season goes.

I can probably think of a better choice, but the play that I can never get out of my head is the 2010 Nebraska overtime game. Colin Franklin was so wide open for the 2-point conversion. I was sitting in that end zone and jumped to my feet as I saw we were going to win the game. But our holder, Kuehl, choked and instead of just firing the ball in to Franklin for the win, he chucked up a lollipop floater that barely made it past the goal line and was at least 5 yards short of our receiver. Kept us from going to a bowl game. I must have agonized over that failed play 1,000 times. I'm sure Mr. Kuehl has also, I can't imagine having your one chance to be the hero and you just freeze up. No doubt he would also like to have that play to do over.

This X1000........ We don't lay an egg against Baylor the next week if we get that win. Unbelievable how close we were to an undefeated regular season. 3 OT loses....

I'd redo the oklahoma state OT run by woody just so I could go nuts again. That game had one of my favorite moments of college. Not just the win, but the start of the third quarter when the dbag pikes a row in front of me said "let's get out of here we suck" and left.

There was a couple of plays that game that were basically ISU giving it up.

Same season, last game vs. KU where things worked out for ISU to be in the Big 12 Title game (would have gotten smoked by angry Texas team but still would have been fun). I can't remember what it was, but there was a play at some point that changed the momentum/vibe of the game and it was downhill after that. Culbertson also missed a field goal in OT.

That team wasn't exactly the definition of mental toughness, not that the program in general is.
