Have family coming over tomorrow and Sunday for the first time since we moved in. Not sure what I'm more worried about, everyone playing nice, or the chops that are brining turning out great. Wish me luck, I'm at least gonna need it for my sanity.

Alright, I didn't realize CG made her triumphant return. That might make it worthwhile!

And it is 9v9 at her age, but when you factored in the girls on the bench, there were nearly 24 girls flossing and laughing. It was pretty fantastic.

As far as my daughter goes, she's a hard one to motivate some days, but when she gets rolling, she's pretty fun to watch. Her teammates really respond well to her when she's putting out good vibes.

Tried Wingstop the other day in Ames. Fries were soggy but tasty, the Garlic Parmesan wings were really good the BBQ ones ok.

I'm tired of being a road warrior, left Mon got back Thur at 8pm, left this morning at 4:30 be home Sunday probably late, work looks busy Sun. Then back on the road either Mon. or Tues for a day. Wed. is already at least a half day work/travel. Work was a grind today 7-6. Suppose it's time for a shower and then some supper. Trying BBQ tonight hope it's decent.

we've had a boy's name picked literally since we went to prom together. Sort of weird in that context because we'd only been dating three months but we were talking about how we got our names and realized we had the same first and middle initial. DH talked about how he'd like to name a son "certain name" and though I didn't like it at first, it's really grown on me. I'll like a girl's name for a while and then it'll fade in my mind. And that's what's happening with my current favorite name.

Though DH did like this new suggestion so we'll see.

Sorry, this is digging up a post from pages ago, but... you totally do the thing too where you refuse to name your daughter after a girl you knew and hated, right?

Suck it up and write.
I've got a full library day of edits and stuff planned tomorrow and Sunday.
That and finishing up a presentation for Tuesday.

Well, really, it's just a full-on binge through Wednesday of Finals week, then commencement on Thursday, and then plowing on again through defense on June 15th.

And then money, somewhere, somehow, I hope.

Well supper salvaged a long day, pulled pork, fries and a 20ozmug of a local beer $15covered it all including the tip. The pulled pork sandwich was huge and really well flavored. Little skinny fries almost like shoe string fries that come in the can. The beer was a 0ld 56 lager from some brewery north of Luzerne Mn.

Dh didn't read that until after we got back from the beach last night. And I was like but I was in the water!!!! I suppose with the giant turtles and monk seals around (one beached by us yesterday!) It would make sense for the larger predators to be around.
