Pearl Jam @ Wrigley Field in August. Not sure if Wrigley would be a that great of a concert venue.

A random, late reply... but I was reviewing the thread to see if there are any other shows I should get to and saw this.

With that said, I saw Pearl Jam at Wrigley in 2016 and it was amazing! They played nearly 3 1/2 hours. My seats were on the field, so I probably had a considerably better aspect than most for the show but I know other people who were in the stands and felt the same about the show. They did have big screens showing the stage so everyone could see. It was one of my favorite shows that I’ve ever been to.

What I have planned right now:
-Cole Swindell, June 22nd @ Stir Cove (Council Bluffs)
-Joe Bonamassa, August 7th @ The Orpheum Theatre (Omaha)

Not really summer but also going to:
-Henrik Freischlader Band, October 1st @ Rockhouse Bar (Salzburg)
-Gary Clark Jr., November 7th @ The Orpheum Theatre (Omaha)

There are several other Stir Cove shows I’d like to get to (Dropkick Murphys, Barenaked Ladies & Better than Ezra, O.A.R., Counting Crows & Live...). FYI - Stir Cove is a great little venue if you ever find yourself in Council Bluffs.

I’d also would like to find a way to see Foo Fighters in Wrigley Field... probably a very long shot for me this year unfortunately

Have you seen GC,Jr live before? He's so damn good. Omaha tickets are now $$$ since it sold out, but we're debating seeing him in KC.

I’ve never seen him before. Wanted to go last time he was here at the Slowdown but it sold out before I decided to pull the trigger. Second party ticket vendors wanted an outrageous amount of money for that show.

FYI the show in November is not sold out from what I can tell. Plenty of tickets available through the official Orpheum ticket box office website - https://ticketomaha.com/productions/gary-clark-jr-

Saw Stone Temple Pilots last week in Cedar Rapids. They actually sounded really good with their new singer. Fun show, you could tell the guys were having a great time on stage. A couple of their new songs are really good (Meadow, Pull Me Under). Of course the classic tunes were highlights too.

Tomorrow heading to Queens of the Stone Age and Royal Blood in Madison, WI at an outdoor venue. Super excited to see both of those bands!

There is a “documentary” on Amazon about the 2016 Wrigley shows called, Let’s Play Two.

I always thought of Eddie Veddar as a tortured soul musician. In reality, he is just a regular Cubs fan boy giddy about their historic season.

I own the “Let’s Play Two” and the official bootleg albums from the show... definitely need to make time to watch the documentary now.

Saw Stone Temple Pilots last night and it was a really good show. I wasn't sure what to expect with a new lead singer but they put on a good show and sounded really good. The new lead singer, Jeff Gutt, was actually a contestant on the show X Factor twice and finished runner up the second time. If you want to see how good of a singer he is look it up on You Tube, he's very impressive.

I was at the American Aquarium and Cory Branan show last Wednesday, I feel so luck to have seen this band with the new lineup, easily a Top 5 show. This band is on the uptick and hope They comeback around before the venue size comes into play!!!!

I believe there were a few Fanatics at RedRocks last night for Ryan Adams.

Yep. I was there. Fantastic show.

Hilarious that they were giving him notes that basically said "We're going to fine you $15k if you go over time", he read them to the crowd, genuinely talked about how he didn't want to make them mad so he could keep playing Red Rocks, then went a minute over. "They actually fined us already, so f*** it, let's play another song." Really funny concert moment, seen him five times and that's the first time I've ever seen him play a Whiskeytown song.

it was great. Had you seen him at RedRocks before? I've never heard an artist talk about the fines they might incur for going long.

I've gone the last three years in a row, my wife the last four. This show was very focused, and a lot of guitar jamming which you don't always see much of from him.

I've heard bands talk that they may get fined for going long, and some that I'm sure did get fined, but never literally reading the note that says "if you are not off the stage by 11:16pm there is a $15k fine". It was hilarious. He was like, "guys, I love you, but no song is worth fifteen thousand dollars". But once the fine was already set, then why not keep playing?

Anyone else see Misterwives a couple of weeks ago at Wooly's? Wow that girl can dance!
Saw them last Friday along with Joywave and 30 Seconds to Mars.
Got $30 tickets, ended up spending $100 after the Uber and 2 beers. I despise going to shows at large venues for that reason.

I've seen him multiple times and he definitely is aware of the curfew rules.

Last year they even gave a warning about his condition vs. flashing lights, and mid-show he had to stop playing and remind the crowd since he was literally shaking. Of course people kept taking selfies with the flash on.

Was a good reminder as to why I don't enjoy shows any more. I spend more time looking around everyone's camera trying to see the actual show. It was funny listening to him diss everyone that has to prove what they're doing online instead of just watching.

Do people know they can just find a much better video of the same band on youtube at any time?

I saw Cole Swindell last night at Stir Cove with the wife. It is not my preferred genre, however it was a great night for an outdoor concert. The actual show was enjoyable but only about an hour and fifteen minutes.

He didn’t stray too much from other set lists I’d seen and did several covers of songs he co-wrote for other artists.
