Players played below average, coaches coached below average, officials officiated below average. Just one of those three improves and we win the game yesterday. It was an entire group effort.
Jayhawk fans felt the same way after you guys whipped our butt. Several obvious missed calls and many times where KU players simply got knocked to the ground (since ISU was the more aggressive team) that could have been called fouls but weren't. KU's 24 turnovers and total lack of hustle to three point shooters lost the game, not the inconsistent performance of the refs.
It only bugs people when their team loses.
If the refs constantly suck, wouldn't them sucking be an average game for them?Players played below average, coaches coached below average, officials officiated below average. Just one of those three improves and we win the game yesterday. It was an entire group effort.
I have zero interest in arguing for hours about specific calls. No matter what I post, you'll disagree with it. Let's just skip to the end and agree to disagree.I would like examples of these several obvious missed calls?
I am not one who think they constantly suck. They weren't horrid yesterday, just below average and it was spread around. If the refs constantly suck, wouldn't them sucking be an average game for them?

Fair enough. First and last time I engage with you on any topic then. Good to know you are full of ****.I have zero interest in arguing for hours about specific calls. No matter what I post, you'll disagree with it. Let's just skip to the end and agree to disagree.
I am not saddened by this turn of events and we all look forward to yet another thread about the horrible refs after the next close loss.Fair enough. First and last time I engage with you on any topic then. Good to know you are full of ****.
West Virginia is by far the best at exploiting the refs systematically. They simply commit a thousand fouls in the name of being "more aggressive" knowing the refs absolutely will not call them all.
Michigan State is simply always big and strong, and their coach demands that they play a relentlessly bruising style. They are rarely the team that plays smaller and weaker so it just appears that they get the calls. The more aggressive team usually gets the calls and the wins and it is rare that Michigan State is not the more aggressive team.
You could see on TV that is was the correct call.
There are a lot of what ifs with every game. What if Jacobson would have turned toward the basket and seen he had no one near him when he was 15 ft from the basket instead of passing up what would have been a wide open shot. What if KSU would have started intentionally fouling more to get the score closer in the last minute (with the way we were shooting free throws this would not have ended well). Yes the refs sucked, but they didn't lose the game.
We were soft around the basket (except for Conditt). We got our @sses handed to us on the boards and Conditt was the only one that would take it up strong in the paint. Jacobson pump fakes then goes up soft every time in the paint. Wigginton drives hard then flips the ball up and hope it goes in and get a foul (usually does get fouled whether called or not). We need to be more physical in the paint and yes Lard would help, but our guards need to man up in the paint too.
Not that it matters now but K-State had 16 personal fouls, ISU 13. ISU was 6-12 from the line, K-State 11-14.
It proves the obvious. Had ISU made their free throws at the same rate as K-State, they'd have won the game comfortably. And taking a three near the end as the game's in play is not a good strategy.Cool. What does that prove? We all know that if we make free throws/wide open shots we win but that doesn't mean if the incompetent officials hadn't screwed up a bevy of calls we wouldn't have won either. Both things are true. Sorry, I'm still a tad bitter :/
Winners win and losers lose. I don't care how bad the officiating was. Good teams find a way. You think Georges, Naz, or Monte let us lose that game? Hell no. We need a vocal leader right now and we don't have one.
