Where would you rank Prohm far as big 12 coaches go.

Where did his recruiting rank in the conference this past year? I really don't follow it all that closely...I certainly don't see a big difference in abilities between ISU and that many teams.

I was directly responding to a quote that stated ISU "deserved" a "top-tier" coach. I stated that I wished that we had an elite coach like Coach K, but there are only a handful of those guys and the ISU job doesn't pay like one of those jobs.

In terms of recruiting, you have ku and then everyone else.

2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, now 2019. Unless you're using Hoiberg's 1st year as the starting point?

Yep, I think it’s fair to include the entire time.

Fair enough. This did start with Fred after all.

Crazy to think we only made the tournament once between 2002-2011. It's been a great run.

And there’s not many teams with that kind of stretch. We are not elite yet, but we’ve been more consistent than most. Especially with a coaching change.

I'm not disagreeing...I was really wondering where ISU ranks in addition to the fact that CSP is not in the top-tier for pay.

You actually tried the old I have expectations, I don’t settle for mediocrity ******** argument.

That’s straight up nonsense.
The dude gets paid millions of dollars per year. That comes with expectations. JFC. If he was bagging groceries he could suck at his job.

I'm not too confident limping in to March, and depending on who leaves next year is a big question mark. Not every guy is going to be Chris Beard. Dude is a flat out stud coach. The other guys that are better than Prohm have been doing this forever. Some coaches take time at this high level to figure it out. It's really his first year of his own full roster, and he's learning on the job. Maybe he will become really good, maybe he won't.[/QUOTE]

Beard has a 1-5 record against Prohm. Tech had a 1 game lead on Kansas last year on Feb 14th, they lost four of the next five, two to NIT teams. Not to mention getting destroyed by a terrible Iowa State team by 18 earlier in the year.
