I got tired of talking about it and took a hiatus from this thread around that time.

As far as first hand knowledge goes... every look inside his huddle on TV ever has almost always included this exact sentence. “Guys, we gotta be better at _____” and is never followed with coaching as to how to do that. In fact, I have never seen a TV shot from inside a Prohm huddle with actual coaching happening from Prohm. There was plenty of footage of Monte or amazing or Georges doing coaching.

As far as Prohm goes... you and I have a fundamental disagreement. I don't disagree that with a lot of problems, doing nothing is the best course of action and staying the course tends to get you to where you are going. I just think Prohm has a fundamental flaw that gives him a very limited ceiling in the Big 12.

How many times do they show the huddle on TV per game? How many times can you actually tell what he says? How long do they show it?

It seems idiotic and stupid to assume that the one huddle they show you per game and the 15 seconds you see of it and the tiny bit you can understand is indicative of what is going on there.

Unless you are a magic person.

Ahhhh got your fee fees hurt did ya? I’m Sorry.

Blanket projection about groups of people is dumb, and you should feel bad.

Especially in this particular case, where none of what you said was remotely evident in the incident on the court.

ISU has many great fans. ISU also has a number of ass hats who struggle with a proportionate response when things don't go the way they want. This has been demonstrated again and again. I don't try to read more into it than that, but you go ahead and do you.

Agree, it’s Saturday afternoon. Where the hell do you have to be. You can’t stick around for 20 minutes to honor your seniors. That was disappointing as well.
I wasn't expecting everyone to stay for the ceremony, especially after a loss. However, a lot more people left than I thought would. I was disappointed as well.

Did you really go all 4 year old preschooler? Solid
Heavy sarcasm was implied. You get that right? @Doc said “cut out the high school ****” and I have him a snarky response with a dash of humor. Good grief.

I’m putting you on ignore by the way, so no response required. Maybe you should do the same. You have been aggressively targeting me with responses full of negative BS and lacking any actual content. Good day sir.

It's cute you are putting someone on ignore due to their negative reaction to your comments. Yet, you seem to think public negative reactions you follow are good.

For the whole timeout? The camera never goes to commercial or to the crowd and you can tell exactly what the coaches say? I actually attend all the home games, but I'd bet my life that they don't show the entire timeout. I'd also bet my life that there is no way you can tell exactly what is going on that huddle. I'd also bet a lot of money that they don't average showing 1 timeout per game.

Whatever. There are a certain few on here that can’t stand a debate happening on this website that they don’t agree with, so instead of debating they jump in, hijack, and then only negatively attack the posters instead of debating. It’s eerily similar to a certain cave and a certain few posters there as well.

I never once attacked anyone, calling them stupid, or not a real fan, or “needing a timeout for wine coolers and midol”... but I am the one acting uncivil and a bad fan. Get ******.

24-26 as HC of the Windy City Bulls this year

Yeah, the idea was if Fred ever really wanted to stay in Ames and put in 10-15 years on the bench here, rather than whatever college job he’s going to take next.

this Is funny. Like most revision history, the guy becomes dean smith.

People complained about Fred’s game management and adjustments all the time. Having Melvin Ejim and especially Deandre Kane, and two big shots by Naz made a lot of those problems go away.

I can't recall any adjustments when Fred was down 20 at the start of seemingly every game. But I recall the team toughing it out and keeping on with the game plan. Worked for some 20 win seasons. Oh, and it worked this season for another 20+ win season.

In 2015 when they were down 20 to OU Fred's adjustment was literally streetball.

And I loved those teams. They were frustrating, and the effort was extremely inconsistent, but at least they were winning and making the tournament.

But those second round exits were directly related to these same issues.

A 24 year old grad transfer, and a POY senior, helped solve a lot of those issues. If Shayok had Deandre’s attitude (and game), a lot of the problems of team hierarchy would have been resolved.

Yeah, Fran must have commented on that 15 times in the second half.

So the adjustment was throwing out all the offensive sets. It was bold. And worked that night which was thrilling.

Then Texas blew a big lead, and Monte made a great shot to win that game, and ou missed a point blank layup to win that one. But that just showed how great Fred was at the end of games.

FWIW, I disagree with your MBB conclusion but agree with your description above. The cave is a cesspool with no redeeming quality and you can see the toxicity seep into these other boards. It's a shame. Everyone would benefit if the tone reflected more humility. Everyone seems to forget that they don't actually know much of anything with certainty.
