We've never had a parking pass so I haven’t really paid attention to how this all worked. I know that the $500 donation level doesn’t guarantee the paved parking. My question is if we were to dontate say $600-700 would we then be high enough on the priority list to pretty much be guaranteed the paved lots. I wasn’t sure exactly how the priority points worked.

As a new donor to guarantee yourself paved parking I would say you would probably have to go up to the $1,000 level. That extra couple hundred dollars won't get you enough points to jump over the $500 donors that's been donating for a few years.

Correct. I think the extra money doesn't help you unless it takes you to the next donor level. Also, keep in mind that longevity is a factor. If you are just joining, you may be at the end of the line of your donor level.

Does your account show the number of points you have? I can't find it.

Yes. Sign into your Cyclone Club account. Then in the upper right hand corner, click on your name and select "account settings" from the drop-down menu. On the next page that comes up, click the top link, "manage my personal profile" and the "rank in donor level" is listed near the bottom of the next page that comes up.

The only way you would be ahead with a 600 dollar donation is if you have the same number of priority points as a person with a 500 donation.
Last year was the first year I went to 1000 and the c4 lot was half full when it was my turn to pick. Wanted an RV spot but didnt have enough priority to swing that. Been donating for about 3 years.
So to get a paved spot, unless you have enough priority points, donate 1000. And even then it cant be guarunteed.

I am a $2,500 annual donor who has been in the Cyclone Club for 10 years. I want to move my seats. My friend is at the $5,000 level and joined two years ago. She is purchasing season tickets for the first time. Who would have their ticket request reviewed first?

The $5,000 donor would have his/her ticket request reviewed first because his/her annual giving category is higher.

Unless you are claiming all paved spots are filled by $1,000 and up donors this appears to be wrong.

Does G7 fill up? We might try out that. This is mostly for my parents who aren’t able to walk as far and don’t want to sit in the stadium for so long before the game.

This is the scenario that could play out and result in someone not getting a paved spot with a 1000 donation and is what I was referring to. It is unlikely but could happen and why it cant be guaranteed.

Gold has 1576 members. First time donor in the Gold (no prior donation) would be number 1577 or higher. With prior donations/priority points would be less than 1576 in placing.

Would someone post the numbers for Captain and Cardinal?

Didn't the lots around Hilton change to donor lots for football?

I had been a $500 donor for several years now and got bumped off pavement last season.

I called and asked about it, and was told that a LOT of people increased donations/

We dropped our level from $1k to $500 this year, so you'll probably get our spot

I wonder how many of those will come back down due to people increasing donations for the new tax law for 2018.

I actually re-upped my donation after decreasing it last year. I think people over-emphasize the importance of a tax deduction for the lower donation levels.

For those of us deciding between $600 or $1200 in donations, the loss of the itemized tax deduction (charitable donation) is more than made up by the doubling of the standard dedcution and the decrease in the tax rates.

If you're deciding about a $20,000 donation or none at all then that's probably a different discussion.

The 2019 club pdf has the amount of members in each level. Moved to 1000 this year after 5 years in the 500. I think the 500 has a lot of veterans in it. Priority points are like gold my friends lol

So, is the pecking order determined by:
  • Donor level and priority points?
  • Donor level, years at the level, then priority points?
In other words, if I change levels, do I jump people who have been at that level for longer, but have fewer priority points?
