I actually didn't know about it being spelled lede, but since the etymology of lede is an alternate spelling of lead, and it is essentially used as journalism jargon, I officially don't care and don't feel the least bit bad about it.

8 or 9 wins should be very doable, the big test is 10 to 11 wins. For that to occur, we have to be healthy the whole year, the OL has to step up and play at a high level, keep turnovers down, and Purdy needs to continue to run the ball. He got away from that the last 4 games of the year, and it slowed down the offense. Against Drake, -16 yards, and Texas -11 yards, he did rush for 46 in the bowl game. If he runs enough to keep the defense honest, with our defense we will be in every game.
But he found four quarterbacks better than Purdy? Or did I miss that name?
I just have to point this out. The pattern is that Steele is consistently underestimating us.

Jay impresses my as the University Professor who has never been in the real world. A lot of knowledge and theories, but limited practical experience.

If Max Urick was still the athletic director and Jim Criner was coaching, then yes, you would be terrified. But for other reasons.
