The Pac 12 is in a lose lose situation and that bodes well for the Big 12. I get that the networks are trying to get more eyeballs on the Pac 12 games but I doubt 9:00 AM will be the solution. That conference is full of wishy washy fan bases and I can't imagine that the 9:00 AM games will draw **** for attendance.

This could have a real west coast vibe here....

Major college football in the morning and plenty of time to hit Santa Monica in the afternoon.

I always liked the college games starting on TV at 9. Watch ball all day, but heading to a 9am kickoff in person??

Meh....We're at JTS before sun up.....just head to the Rose Bowl a little early

Colorado would be 10 am I believe. Utah maybe. Not sure about the AZ schools since they don’t do daylight savings, if they would be 9 or 10 then.
AZ matches Mountain time in the fall (after daylight savings) and winter and Utah is mountain time along with CO. So after Nov. 3 that is 4 teams that it would be a 10 am kickoff for.

Dumb. Kick-off would take place before College Gameday and whatever Fox calls their pre-game show. The networks aren't going to change the time of these shows, and the PAC-12 now completely loses out on Gameday/Fox hyping these early morning games as they would already be in progress.
Someone doesn’t know how time zones work

I've heard about that being great before regarding NFL games living on the west coast, with the early window starting at 10AM.
One of my favorite Viking t.v. viewing experiences was while celebrating a birthday in Hawaii. I was in the hotel bar at 7:00 a.m. that Sunday morning with my brother-in-law and a tall glass of Bailey's with the game on the big screen.

Off/on topic, I wish the Los Angeles Angels would do this sometimes so baseball fans could watch more Mike Trout. I feel like the west coast teams in all sports are a big question mark for me. All I know are box scores.

It is pretty great. I've been out there on vacation a couple times during football season and it's awesome to have the early window games over by 1 pm or so local time and have the whole afternoon still in front of you. And football pairs well with drunk brunch.

Same. And the older I get the tougher it is to stay awake for the west coast games. I've never been much of a night owl anyway but for a game that starts at 9 CST or later I'm lucky to catch the beginning, let alone the whole thing.

Pac-12 games are on TV? Never heard of that conference before. By the time I get back from tailgating, going to the ISU games, unpacking, have a couple more beverages and showering; I'm beat and hit the sack. I have no desire to watch a Pac-12 game.

That'd be kinda awesome for away games. Roll out of bed, make some coffee/breakfast, and flip on the TV.

Home games? Yuck.

I enjoyed that when I was on the West Coast. Roll out of bed at 9, make some coffee, and watch a game. It was great. At least until the coffee turned into Irish coffee and a couple of bloody mary’s And then your entire Saturday is shot.

I would hate that if I was a player.
I actually bet most players would prefer 9/10am kickoffs to 7-8pm kickoffs. You get the game out of the way early and get back home in the afternoons, not midnight or later. Sitting around a hotel all day waiting for your night game is probably really boring and tiresome.

I can see why they'd want to get games on early. But the problem with 11am CST is that there's a ton of competition. You get a bunch of B10, B12, ACC games in that time slot. Sure, more people will be watching FB, but how many more will be actually watching P12 games?

I love the P12 after dark. Just when you think the football day is over, you look and there's a P12 game starting at 10. Awesome.

And then Hawaii has a home night game that kicks off at midnight CT.

Yeah, that's when I know I'm sleeping on the couch. Might as well grab a few more beers and see how much I can stay awake for.

I don't like the idea. If I were them, I would come up with a good marketing campaign to "own" the late night games from 9-12 pm.

Yeah, but that's point, right? They don't care at all about butts in seats. They're trying to get more TV audience, correct?

It's all realignment bullsh#t. Of course, in a sane world everyone can agree that 0900 kickoff is stupid AF. God I f#cking hate what realignment has done to CFB.
