I’d be happy if Kolar ended up on the Chiefs. Love to have him back, but I’d assume he’s gone.

Im glad Allen is back at least, but I’m interested to see how Dean has developed sitting behind those three. Campbell did say Dean is the most talented TE on the team.

Yes, but that's not going to happen.

I'm going to guess that there will be very few underclassman that take the extra year.

Totally agree.... but by rule he could potentially be at ISU for 3 more seasons..... playing only 2 of them.

I wouldn’t complain if Purdy came back for a super senior year. I wonder what his draft stock will look like next year.

I posted this in another thread, but got no response...... technically couldn't Purdy have 3 more years at ISU if he has to use his RS year sometime for an injury (hope to hell not of course!)? He's still a true Junior next season eligibility wise correct?
You probably didn’t get a response because it’s irrelevant?

Opportunity cost. That’s up to each individual, but I know one thing for sure, you ain’t getting paid **** in college.
No one would fault him for leaving early. Some of us think he could raise his stock by coming back a year. You’re acting like he’d be a total moron for not cashing in on that million dollar career by staying an extra year.

If you watch Rose's press conference where he says he is staying, he mentions that he thinks there could be a lot of people back. Probably means little, but I'm curious if he would knew if more defensive players are thinking about coming back.

If we’re gonna start shitting on earnings over a million, then I don’t know what to tell you guys. Fandom is blinding I guess.
I’m not saying he should or shouldn’t come back because I don’t know where he grades out. For me if I was banking on just the initial late round contract I’d rather come back and still likely get it.

My goal though would be to better improve my chances of sticking in the league. Maybe that means going now and maybe that means coming back.

Looks like Jaquan is leaving good for him
Smart move. He will get drafted. He's not just a good pass rusher, but is also great against the run.

Eisworth was a mid round pick according to the "experts" but I think he will go later due to the safety talent this draft will have.

Kolar is probably a 3rd or 4th rounder.

Enyi, L. White, Foster and Kene I think would get picked up as unsigned free agents if they all leave. I really hope Enyi comes back.

If a player is physically mature and has played a lot of snaps at ISU, IMO it isn't likely a player is going to improve his draft stock by staying around another year.

I think kids like Kolar, Bailey and Eisworth have pretty much maxed their potential at ISU. Moving on to the NFL they have a better chance of enhancing their game with an NFL S&C and offseason program.

In Kene's case, he isn't going to beat out Breece Hall. So if the NFL is his dream, then grad transfer is probably a good idea if he has a path to be a starting RB next year. Even if it means going to an FCS school.

Beside the football side, there is the academic component for some the the seniors. In Kene's case he is a Mech Eng major. Getting a grad degree at an elite engineering grad program would be a great move looking at his professional career. aka Stanford, etc.

The extra year is most beneficial to guys who are good college players, but not quite NFL good. It helps guys who just want to play football for another year, and guys who are smart in the classroom and want the extra schooling.

Or Allen for example who’s a good TE, but had injury problems and another great TE on the team. Same with Kene at RB.
