Ragging on the AD in my first post, maybe too much... It just came out..... He has to stand accountable though, Mac is a great guy and I think a good coach, I personally would rather see wins with scores in the 80's, but then again, I would just like to see wins... I hope for his sake he can land Barnes, that would help a bunch.... Pollard came here and tryed to set a precedent, it just hasn't worked out for him, I hope the JP faithful are right and he is good for the job, in my opinion Wisc. can have him back. Go Clones!!!

G_d bless you and your loyalty.

It must have been hard seeing a 2nd year coach, who just lost his top point guard, have a backup plan that included development of a guard attack that shredded our back court. Not to mention what Tate did to our front court.

Not sure how loyal I am. I was trying to leave with 12 minutes left but my youngest wouldn't let me. We left with about 8 minutes to go. I've seen a lot of bad basketball in my day but the men's/women's dual Carver experience this year takes the cake.

I'm just trying to expose my kids to ISU. What must they think.:skeptical:

I turned off the TV at about the same time you left....
...You're raising your kids with everything they need to know what to experience as a Cyclone fan.

Sometimes our kids teach us great lessons. Never leave games early. Finish. Stick it out to the end no matter what.

I was parked in an area that if we would have waited until the end of the game I'd still be there.

Sometimes kids are stupid.

Other teams we play - like Drake, and Iowa - have out-worked us and have had more passion on the court. That's what worries me. As a Cyclone fan, you have to be worried about the second half at Iowa City. We didn't fight. I never saw this apathy from Mac's UNI teams.

I watched maybe about 5 minutes of the second half. I saw it coming and went to play Rock Band with people in the other room.

I remember the victories, Big 8 Tournament, as much as the losses, UCLA. That's what makes us Cyclones.

My 10 year old daughter is a huge basketball fan. We watch games no matter who is playing and I try to point out things going on in the game. The positive aspects of what I show her during an ISU game are minimal. I don't even want to watch our games with her...it's that bad. She's a guard and there's nothing to show her.

She likes Petey and I use him to illustrate rebounding (she's a lazy rebounder). DG is her "boyfriend" but just because he's cute I guess. We watched him get toasted very intently.

To me, what you described above is a mess. The NCAA's every third or fourth year? I have higher expectations for this program.

Totally agree. Just going to the tourney every 3rd, or 4th year is not good enough for me. We need to be going every year and in the mix for the big 12 title in BB every year. Not garnering up 7-8-9 seeds with this guy.

I want championships....just like with Larry.

Again....bring back larry.

Lets go once and then worry about the following years. Did you watch Larry's last few years? Sorry, but it was no better.

Really? What's LE done since he's left?

No kidding. LE was WAY overrated. He caught lightning in a bottle by having Tinsley for two seasons.

What is he going to do at Miss. St?

He was a great coach for ISU. 2 Big 12 Titles. Give the man some props for that.....since we have never had anyone do that.

He should have never been let go...that's all.
How many times did Bob Knight get 2nd chances?....heck...Eddie Sutton drove across 5 lanes of highway drunk...caused an accident...then hit a tree. This guy put people's lives in danger....and he got a contract extension that very same week Geoffrey got rid of LE.

I give him tons of credit. I liked him. Tinsley or not, the team was solid and the coaching won games.

Yeah...he brought in Tinsley.

Again...2 titles. And our school got conservative and let him go.

He should have been suspended for a number of games the following year. His contract re-arranged....and forced into AA or Rehab.

Still could have been coaching the likes of Homan-Stinson-Blaylock...etc....pretty sure he would have gotten to the NCAAs and some conference shuffling.

People can be given 2nd chances. And I really think that we should have handled this differently with LE. Yeah it was wrong....but we could have also punished him differently than just to release him.

All of you fire McD people are flippin crazy.

We have 2 4 star players signed. We have Gilstrap, who sounds unbelievable at Juco. We have 2 5 stars interested. We have Staten signed for 2012 who could end up a 5 star kid. And Kadima is no slouch.

The wins might not show it now but this program is on the way up and it is being built the RIGHT way.

I think it is still absolutely fair to give McD a total pass on year one. Recruiting for that year SET US BACK. Most of those kids left or never contributed. This is effectively year two. The quality of the recruits is on the way up.

When McD tells recruits "I'll be the coach at ISU" he means it. He'll be here until ISU says you can't be here. Unlike Chizik.

Stability alone will give us improvement. Don't quit on McD now. The losses suck but improvement is on the way.
