How old are you like 10? How do you not understand how this all works? Or are you just joking around here??
Do you understand how it HAS worked. College sports has been the bastion of socialism in America. Its not just in the Big12, but every P5 and G5 conference- schools share revenue pretty evenly. Rutgers gets the same $ as OSU. Wake Forest gets about the same as Clemson. Even at the student athlete level- the best football & basketball players receive the same scholarship money as the last player on the bench. So being financially equal has been the norm in college sports.
That momentum is changing with NIL and potential for student-athlete collective bargaining. So Texas & OU's actions are part of the new paradigm. The backhanded way OU & Texas went about it, is what is wrong.
But yes, it would be right by Cyclone fans to point out that Texas has underperformed while in the Big 12. That did mean less $ for the conference & ISU. They won like 3 conference football championships over the 25 years they were in the Big 12. Comparatively, OU kicked Longhorn butt.
If they were stocks, OU would be Apple and Texas would be GM over the past 25 years.
