For those that were there, how was the crowd? Size, energy, engaged....etc.

Think more recent. Lindell Wigginton clone.

Nah. LW was a shooting guard with limited handles or feel for his teammates. Hell of an athlete and a good shooter.

Hunter is good at stop and start (Monte) and has better handles than LW. He has good vision, but is still trying to get away with high school passes. His leaping ability is really the only parallel to Wigginton that I see.

I don't think there's a great ISU comp for Hunter, but I'd say he's closer to Blalock than Stinson/Morris/LW

Was thinking bubble team before Foster and Hinson left. Then thought 15 wins max. Now......unless there are some ill timed injuries.....they might make at a run for the bubble. They aren't the worse team in the Big 12. If they are......the Big 12 needs to petition for being in the NBA.

I would say this is nuts but I watched some of Xavier tonight and they arent that great

Wayne Tinkle reminds me a lot of Greg McD. In size and playing style. Our defense was great, and we played extremely hard. But OSU stands around and tosses it in and out Jackie Moon style by design. How anyone can choose to watch or play that system is beyond me. Yuck.

Good crowd (probably 10-11K). The defensive effort was well received and rewarded by the crowd. It seemed like every Cyclone player busted their ass on both ends of the court. Still a work in progress but a lot of fun to watch.

Hunter did have 5 TO tonight, tops on the team.
Crossover. Elevation, undersized guard. Rebounding, good shooter.

Can't help you if you didn't see shades of that Lindell dunk vs OU with that crossover dunk in the first half.
When I see TH drive into the lane, lose the ball and end with a face plant I'll consider it.

I think we all are going to be happy that he is the first Tyrese Hunter!

The one downer to my first game this year is the new PA announcer. He sounds like a guy I've heard do games at the Well in Des Moines. He did alright I guess but Gary Wade was 1 in a million.
He has done games at Wells Fargo. He’s a really great announcer but does have a different style. I think he will grow into a bit of the hype person and I think people will come to appreciate him.

Oregon State fans must not do meltdowns like we do not seeing much. This place is great in the high times and the meltdowns, lets embrace the roller coaster.
