Call me old school, but I’m of the opinion you focus your attention and energy on the field, not in the stands.
That Is a rule, so you say screw the rules and feel free to use wrong balls and stuff like that? He most likely had the linemen telling him that they couldn’t hear the snap. If they can’t, the. They have to look inside and could miss blitzes and stunts that the D is doing.
So what are the refs going to do if they can’t hear the snap count? Isn’t that what happens when you play away from home?

Fan noise is not school band noise. School band noise has rules, they broke the rules and weren’t caught.

It is too bad Blum is not in CW's role. Blum is a much better surrogate for Iowa St athletics.
All the complaining about Manning likely should include complaints toward Campbell. Campbell ultimately decides the direction of the offense. It's just hard to see the indecision and predictability in the offense, repeatedly.
No I don't want Campbell to leave. We will have to accept the offense and its direction, good or bad. Overall it is working. I guess I'd like to see it work better.
I just hope for some learning with the offensive schemes and play calling, maybe some 'system' adjustments.

Yes, that’s actually exactly what happens. If the crowd is too loud, the referee can warn the crowd, and later penalize them for it.

Crowd can be loud, but you aren’t allowed artificial noise makers (MSU gets their cowbells for some reason). Instruments are artificial noisemakers but are allowed because they aren’t going to throw out the band, but with that rules were put in place. One is you can’t be playing at certain times One of those times is when the team is lined up trying to snap the ball.
The playoff system will eventually defeat the bowl system. Even though it has long since been proven in the lower divisions, and even longer at the high school level, the only thing that will keep these high achiever's interest peaked is the quest for a title. FCS has a 24 team playoff, but FBS has only 4.
If I could wave a wand, Id delete the bowl system, and replace it with a full bracket playoff system as is typical in high school. That allows everyone to play for the right reasons throughout the season. Teams would never be forced to "sell out" for regular season win #6, and guys, by their credo, would not abandon their teams while in the hunt during the playoff.
