I notice I'm joined by a number of others who find your opinions odd and oft times just annoying.
Possibly... I couldn't care less what a bunch of anonymous people think of me on the internet, and don't really track it. I post occasionally on one message board of my own fans.

You on the other hand must care about that and obviously post on every big 12 message board known around under different names.

Lastly, a quick look at our reactions scores from this site would show mine to be more than double of what yours is (full disclosure, I have no idea what that means).

My guess is the Murray State coach, you know that narrative, or Sean Miller, yes. It depends on how aggressive and dirty MU wishes to look afterward, I suppose. I would have thought they'd consider St. Louis's Travis Ford, but evidently not.

One thing seems clear, K-State and Missouri are not competing for the same coach.
Travis Ford transferred away from Mizzou, and IIRC badmouthed Norm and the University on the way to Kentucky.

To this day he is still referred to as "Traitor Travis" amongst Mizzou fans.

Mizzou is a great job, and it has a lot of money and fertile recruiting grounds if it can get some stability like it had with Norm.

Underwood was asked directly yesterday and didn't deny it, so there's that. I would be surprised if he left Illinois given the level of success and support. But Huggins left K-State for the same reasons. One thing we know for sure: nothing.

Would Underwood take a pay cut to return to KSU?

We’ll see. Would be tough to get the same level of talent there as well.

I don't believe money is an issue at K-State. Never has been for the right project. Tons of very successful alums like Carl Ice, CEO for BNSF, Mike Goss, former CFO of Bain Capital, Bill Ryan founder and president, Shamrock Trading, Eric Stonestreet, actor, and many others. The money thing is a ruse.
I mean, they’d have to pay 1.5-2 million more yearly than what Bruce was making plus whatever Underwood’s buyout would be.

K-State is probably not doing that. Have they ever?

The buyout would have to come from private donations. I'm telling you, there's plenty of dough amongst donors to do that if Underwood wants to come home. If him, I'd stay at Illinois.

I honestly hope KSU spends 16 million to buy him out and then another 5 million on top of that per year.

Self awareness must not be in the house for KU fans.
I am fully self aware. It seems to be the KSU guy who rails on and on about program integrity who is not. Beasley is an example of how things typically happen. These top kids get all sorts of illegal benefits that in most cases have nothing to do with where they choose to attend school.

Beasley was recruited by Huggins, and only went to KSU because that is where Huggins landed. IIRC, Huggins pretty much illegally recruited him, but it wasn't illegal as he was not a head coach while he was recruiting.

One thing to keep in mind that we often don't as fans - the #1 most important thing in a job is your boss. Maybe Underwood doesn't like the Illinois AD, President and boosters. If that is true (and I have no idea) and he likes the KSU people, then even a pay cut (that would probably come with more job security) could easily be more attractive to him. Even though we all see Illinois has better recruiting grounds and cash and thus easier to succeed.

Would you prefer $3M per year and work with your buddies, or $4M per year to work with a bunch of a-holes?
