Some things I've found through research that have helped. Eat healthier but also eat less times a day. Every time you eat, no matter what you're consuming your body releases insulin. Less instances of insulin release, less fat is built. I don't care for elimination diets because I think they're unsustainable. Try to eat less times a day, healthier fresher ingredients, and get intense exercise 3 times a week of 45 minutes and you should see results. It's the lifestyle and diet that are most important when talking about losing bad weight.
Also, doing heavy lifting with your legs, like Squats, lunges, dead lift is shown to increase human growth hormone. There was also a recent study in Japan on fasting that showed incredible promise for healthy lifestyle choices.
