You're not wrong, but we play a lot of GOOD FCS teams historically (UNI, SDSt, etc).
SEMO ain't good. We might just roll them without being very sharp.
According to some people out there, I'm expecting Hunter to throw a TD of 80 yards every snap. Anything less than 8 TD's per game and 100% Completion will be disappointing.

I would be SHOCKED if that SEMO is within 28 points. That's a bad FCS team you love to see on your schedule.
It has been a bit since we truly had a clear quarterback in waiting. A lot of times guys like that can hit the ground running fairly quickly.
I don't have confidence that Campbell will have this team ready (especially on offense). We've been burned too many times.
My point was that I don't think Iowa State will have to be very sharp to win this game fairly easily. We haven't played this poor of a FCS team since who? Western Illinois?
Missouri beat SEMO by 50 in 2019, and by 31 last year (after leading 45-0 in the 3rd). Missouri was around .500 both of those seasons.
Even 2017 Kansas -- who finished 1-11 -- beat SEMO by 22.

Drake was playing under the same set of circumstances
Campbell has 5 games against FCS schools at ISU.
-1 loss to UNI
-a 3 point win over a non scholarship Drake
-a 3 point win over UNI
-a 6 point win over UNI
-a 22 point win over UNI
Nothing in this spread suggests Drake was an outlier. Campbell teams play down to FCS schools and struggle mightily with anyone from Iowa.

Folks seem to disagree with you, but until proven otherwise, that's just what ISU does. Maybe Campbell has turned the corner this year, but the smart money is on looking like hot trash in september.
