KU is an average team, they beat bad teams like us. Their defense is average. They do have some talent on the offensive side but not all it’s hyped up to be. The oline and Dekkers caused this loss. Dekkers has no pocket awareness and his throws being off in critical situations many times is why the outcome is what it is.

Worst recruiting miss of the Campbell era: Dekkers over Duggan. Discuss

This now looks like a throw away season. 3 of the last 4 games horribly coached and played. Every B12 defense smells blood in the water regarding Dekkers. Need to clean house with OC, OL coach, ST coach and hope next season is better. We went 7-6 last year with 6 NFL players on the team. Definitely underachieved last year and this year.

Manning is the absolute biggest joke of a play caller. I don’t understand that there are still people that like him and think he deserves to still be here. If Manning isn’t gone this off-season, then I give up.
I literally laugh out loud when people say with a straight face that he should be the next HC if CMC ever leaves. What a disaster that would be.

Obviously no one is calling for Campbells job but enough of putting him on this Pedestal. He has been severely out coached 2 straight games. Don’t throw some raise at him just because his name comes up for jobs this off season, why would any of these teams want him right now?
He ***** the bed often in close games and toss up games. That's why we're where we are. We should appriciate the fact we're here but also be allowed to ask questions as to why we have all these numbers saying we're this great program and then go 7-5 every year.

Manning is completely useless. I can't emphasize completely enough.

Our play design is ******* atrocious, starting at the line of scrimmage. If you are going to ONLY have 5 offensive lineman in pass protection you cannot have tight splits. Baylor mauled us by using 4 DL, splitting them wide, and angling their ends straight at Dekkers. Often the tackles were beat off the line and Dekkers has no where to go. Just as worse, the route design of the WRs completely gives him little in the way of hot routes. If you watch the film we often have 4-5 ******* guys running routes in the same depth of the field. Often none of our receivers are in/out of their breaks, hanging Dekkers out to dry. Teams consistently bring the house, Manning doesn't adjust protection schemes, and Hunter is a sitting duck. It's infuriating.

I'm not even going to talk about the **** show we call "special teams". This team refuses to make schematic adjustments and makes WAY too many mistakes to ever get over the hump. Campbell has been great for the program but he has a lot of flaws: special teams arrogance/ineptitude, loyalty to suspect coaches, and a propensity for his teams to beat themselves. I used to think it would change but this year has convinced me that it won't.

Going to be a frustrating season and Campbell needs to take responsibility for that.
Thank you! The running routes in the same depth of the field is horrible. Talk about 5-9 players all in the same area. Such a joke.

At some point his lack of wanting to make a change in the OL coach and play calling is going to lead to his downfall. When KU can bring in a coach and in year 2 have the results they are having is hard to watch - mind you this isn't year 2 at OU this is at KU.
Oh 100% Campbell is a pretty good coach and motivator but may end up not being a good CEO, his career arc is trending more Paul Rhoads than I'd care to admit.

I'd like to disagree, but this recurring offense and special teams fiasco it dropping some pretty ugly hints.
I may be somewhat rosey in looking back on cpr but I feel like his special teams was like a 6.5/10. It might just be everything else was a dumpster fire so I was grading favorably.

His special teams were phenomenal in the early years. Heck, we were an onside kick legend.

The failing years had so many problems that I can't remember anything on the special teams. I wouldn't be surprised if they were essentially fine and just overshadowed, but I wouldn't be surprised by dumpster fire stuff, either.

They're a well coached team that will out scheme their way to 7-8 wins, something any ISU fan should sign up for about any season.

What's being overlooked is he's a very good coach that won 6 national titles. It was D3, but if you get the athletes and keep things simple to put them in the right spots with the right mindset, you can win at other levels.

There's not a bunch of nonsense and him explaining his culture and all that crap. He's preparing young athletes to play a football game which can be as simple as it looks.

Yeah....It's not that hard. I've always thought Urban Meyer and Belicek would just be another guy in most of my coursework. Maybe they are making it too cute by half.....call a play and run it......expecially against inferior competition. Not having a very quick quarterback sneak play with Rus pushing to get a 1' really is puzzling. It should be a staple.
