we all know that we need offensive line help but where will that help come from? are there any players on the roster that can step next year that didnt see any time this year because of redshirt or injury? or do we raid the power 5 transfer portal and try to get some new blood into the program.

it just seems to me we everyone jumping into the portal there has to be some power 5 offensive lineman that are better than what we have right now

There's Hunter Deyo. If he's half as good as recruiting ranking, we will have a stud. From what I've heard, he's supposed to be jumping over to offensive line.
I'm hoping he's ready to go. Also, Simmons isn't awful, not sure if he had any more eligibility though. Remsburg had been ok. Really need someone to step up or bring in better talent.

Do we?

We have six guys coming back with extensive playing experience. We have extremely talented guys like Deylin Hasert, whom I’m really excited about, coming off redshirts.

I’d be happy if they just played better together.
Who exactly is coming back with extensive playing experience? I know Remsberg, Simmons, and Treiber have another year. It's too hard to keep track of everything with all of the transferring.

Not sure if describing someone as “isn’t awful” Is a good thing? He was always good for a false start or 2 a game in key spots. We will welcome all of them back, but there isn’t anyone in the line who isn’t replaceable or could be upgraded. The new Oline coach will have talent to work with.

Unless we see some of our OL hitting the portal, I’d think it’s a safe assumption that our coaches are mostly comfortable with the talent already here. Just need better execution. Not that they wouldn’t add someone. Always need to try to recruit over what you have.

Simmons, Remsburg, Hufford and Treiber will be seniors. If there is anyone I’d expect to be a lock to use their COVID year, it would be Zach Ross. And Tyler Miller has a starting season under his belt.

Then there’s guys like Hasert, Maro, Neal, Deyo, etc.

Talent isn’t the problem. The right OL coach will be key.

Ya, I disagree about the talent part. This line has sucked for years. I'll be happy to eat crow.

“Sucked”? It’s like some of you don’t remember the pre-Campbell years…going back to Seneca’s senior year.
Ya we sucked bud. Do you not remember how many tackles David had to break? Or how Breece was pretty feast or famine? That's line play. That's not even bringing up penalties and missed blitzes.

When's the last time we dominated a team with the oline? Non power 5 included. Look at Kansas last year. Oklahoma.

With the way things are in college football, we probably won't know for sure until Sept 1st
