I'm not going to insult anyone's intelligence by trying to suggest that I'm unbiased when I write this, but we really have the look of a dark horse Final Four team right now.I just see 6 wins.

The consistent suffocating defense that shows up every game (except Iowa) and builds as the game goes on is unlike even last year. It just feels like, even at Phog Allen, there's a stretch coming where the intensity ramps up and the other team goes scoreless for 5+ minutes and we're either right back in the game, or are suddenly ahead by 9.I salute you, sir. I hadn't gotten to that level yet, or didn't know I had.
I definitely don't disagree. We're a nightmare for any opponent, and these guys have an attitude that won't back down from anyone.
I think having more offensive capability from the post opened up our outside shooting. Plus, Holmes seems better at finishing around the basket than IZB. I now understand a bit more when CW said that we would be improved offensively. The consistent suffocating defense that shows up every game (except Iowa) and builds as the game goes on is unlike even last year. I still think it all comes down to hitting outside shots though. the @TCU game is the only win this year where we've made < 6 threes. We will probably lose a game or two down where the shots just won't fall

Wasn't there tonight but have been to all since Trickey days. Nothing compares to the OSU game.
Great win by the Clones last night. It looks to me like the Shorthorn's interim coach is in way over his head. They played fairly well for most of the game, but once they got behind by 5 the team looked like a Jr High team. Just passing the ball around and then casting up 3s in the hope that one or two go down and they would get back into the game.
Lots of mentions of great loud atmospheres in here over the last two decades. But for us older folks who were there, the Oklahoma State game when they were #2 and we came back from 18 down at half to win OT was and is still the loudest I've ever seen Hilton. I was behind the basket when Alexander missed those late FTs and it was insane.
Hard to know what to think about UT the rest of the way. They have talent and that gets you pretty far, but the margin for error is so small in the Big 12 this year that poor coaching can and probably will be a factor in some losses.

Do we really know what John does in his free time?John Walters as Heisenberg?
I was at that OSU game (spur of moment stopped and scalped a ticket). Still, in my mind the Lafester Iowa game was the loudest, most electric atmosphere that I have a vivid memory of. Probably because I have the white hot dislike of Iowa with the intensity of 1000 suns.Wasn't there tonight but have been to all since Trickey days. Nothing compares to the OSU game.
If the Lafester game was that loud, shout out to the old people back then. If I recall correctly, that game was during a student break.I was at that OSU game (spur of moment stopped and scalped a ticket). This is a profession where you must maintain peak physical condition, I would think. Amazing he can still do this in his mid 60's now.He was on Go Big Show, wasn’t he? We saw him at a Wolves game, just amazed at his balance. He doesn’t appear to be in peak physical condition and just keeps climbing those chairs!

And the guy standing near the base...is he there to catch him or to take his picture when he falls?
