This may not be the flex it used to be.

Lots of great individual players on the team. Unfortunately, the sum of the parts was less than the players on their own. Basically the polar opposite of this years squad.

They were also a lot less experienced. THT was 17 and Halli was 18. That year was frustrating, but I look at it more with coaching. I never fault or put expectations on freshmen. All year every quote was a repetitive “ball screen defense” and “rebounding”. Well the rebounding never got better. They did win the Big XII tournament, which was a nice way to end the season even though they lost in 1st round of the NCAA.
