ISU played two of its best games of the season this week. Tonight was not one of its worst games, but not one of its best either. They got KU into a rock fight and the Jayhawks responded. I give Kansas credit.

I am extremely pleased how the team responded after the turmoil from Grill situation, and look forward to the NCAA tournament. IMO, the team’s current psyche suggests that it’s ready for the challenge.

Not everything is just bad luck. In Ames, we played well enough that those guys didn't make those shots. We were a bit slow and off tonight. It wasn't a bad performance at all. But in order to beat Kansas WE needed to be better and stop Wilson from 'having a lottery pick' kind of night. I do think this is the kind of game where we probably missed good Caleb a bit.

What I liked about tonight was that we still looked fairly sharp. We didn't get that deer in the headlights look that we had for most of February. And we didn't freeze up when we got down by 8 in the first half. It was really good to see that this turnaround wasn't limited to Baylor.
Good analysis. Wilson is very good but that is as good as he can be. We need to guard **** a little better and we need to make a few more shots, especially easy shots. That was pretty much as good as Kansas can play. We can play way better.

A team cannot have 20 turnovers and shoot poorly from the floor and beat a team as good as Kansas. We played hard but missed too many easy shots at the basket tonight to win the game.
This lose will not hurt ISU in seeding, it was a freebie and ISU will be fine come Sunday.

This is what I see. Our A game can beat anybody. Our B game can't beat a really good team's A games. If we can time our B games with other good team's B games we will go deep. Does this make any sense? I find the alphabet confusing.
Yep, completely. If we play defense and rebound like we have been, an average offensive outing should be enough unless the other team is on fire from the outside, and when we're firing on all cylinders, even the top teams are going to have serious problems with us.

Thanks for restating that in a way that makes more sense. I blame the beer and lack of intelligence.

Overall, no. But a 13 point beat down hurts a little. Would've liked to have kept it respectable. That was one of the most lopsided losses in the P6 tournaments so far

I'd have a hard time calling any game where the losing team had a lead 2/3 of the way through the game a 'beat down'.

Also, there have been a bunch more p5 tournament games with the same margin or greater even within our own tournament. A few much larger.

Malone must have deleted that post or a mod did but that needs to be quoted and he needs a time out or something for that kind of ****.
Stuff like this is totally uncalled for. This poster must think he's bigger, better, smarter, when in fact, he is none of those. Sounds like an internet bully to me, with a personality disorder - meanness.
Missed it
I know you've seen it by now. Lucky you.
