Thanks for info. How did the mishandle the pandemic?
I’ll answer real quick but don’t want to derail the thread. Essentially the school waiting until everyone paid tuition before announcing that all classes would be transitioning to virtual only. Massive blunder that many people really didn’t like the optics of and I totally get. Michigan did the same thing but it was handled much better and their classes seemed to run much more smoothly.

The SEC has poached 4 Big 12 teams.

Don't tell us to be quiet and just continue to roll over. The league has escaped death too many times to not try something new.
I really don’t know how they do it but it’s utterly amazing the hoodwink both the SEC and Big Ten have pulled as the ones starting this whole thing and raiding flagship schools from the Big 12, ACC and PAC 12 yet they have somehow gotten these other conferences to be mad at each other and not the ones who actually did the damage. Sankey and any Big Ten commish need to teach a class in psychology because it’s amazing what they can convince people to do.

Right up there with the greatest con of getting their fans to die on the hill of “We make so much money and your school doesnt!” Despite none of that money having anything to do with the average fan. Just lining pockets of the fat cats in the conference. It’s truly amazing.

Sankey getting a little jealous of Yormark it appears - and getting roasted by his remarks.

This is from the commissioner of the conference whose motto is "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying."

I’m starting to think nothing is going to happened, and if it doesn’t, that will be the end of Yormark.

The time is now to strike, and if all that happens is having marquee basketball games in Mexico and basketball stuff in Rucker Park, it’s a huge swing and a miss.

I’m sorry…I don’t give a rip about conference games in Mexico or NYC. I’m guessing I’m not alone.

These moves usually don’t get announced until the end of June or July. It’s always going to be an option until the PAC signs a media deal.

It takes two parties to make this decision. The big 12 is on board, but the four corners are not yet. We can't go and force them to join us.

I said before, but it'd be irresponsible of the administrators to make a decision without seeing what the PAC can offer.

I still don't think anybody moves from the Pac. Fine. Our 12 are galvanized where we will get brands built up and will see what happens with them and the ACC next contract time for both.

My thoughts are that at the very minimum, the ”Buffs“ will move back to the Big 12. Very easy for them to say that without USC and UCLA, this is not the same PAC 12 they signed up for. Administrators can not just simply pass up an opportunity to make more money, especially when it is accompanied with reduced travel costs. Could well be a couple more weeks yet. Jmo

Colorado will leave. Arizona likely. They are the ones that will lose if they don’t grab the lifeline.

He just pulled off a masterful move to get your media deal locked in before all this chaos happened, that was his main goal and he crushed it. It also didn’t have a ton of holes in it like the big ten’s deal had. Until he actually makes a mistake he is probably one of the safest commissioners in the country

Will someone tell me why the Big 12 shouldn't take WSU and OSU in addition to Colorado and Arizona? That gets them to 16, a nice safe number. Plus, I've been to OSU before, both those schools are totally sympatico with the original Big 8 schools, they are a perfect cultural match. Good student/alumni support to boot.

It’s either him or the Bowlsby type. Bob sat there and just had to sign the deal that Neinas made, pretty easy. Then he loses Texas and OU while trying to be chummy with Sankey. Anyone could have pulled the 4 G5s we did, they were easily the best 4 available. If you want to go back to Bobs style, I’m am totally dumbfounded.

Stop trolling, they are have weak fan support and media doesn’t care for them.

I would watch the **** out of this.

It definitely ups the stakes for conference members not competing for a playoff bid.

I'm not sure how I feel about it, though. There should be a payout difference between divisions, but it shouldn't be much in college football for cohesion reasons.
