I think AZ is in B12 for sure and I'm starting to think WA/ORE are in and ASU/UTAH is out.

With that in mind here is my guess

Pac 12:
Utah
ASU
Cal
Stan
WSU
OreSt
SDSU
SMU
UNLV
AFA
Gonzaga Hoops only
St Mary's Hoops only

MWC:
BSU
Fresno
Utah St
Nevada
San Jose St
New Mexico
Colorado St
Wyoming
NDSU
Montana/Montana St (one or the other or both)

Why wouldn't the PAC take Boise? Academics?

That’s more GK’s speed, but frankly he’s probably going to F that up too. He already done SDSU dirty.

It is exceedingly difficult to survive as a wounded animal in the modern college athletics jungle. Yet here we are two years hence, with the Big 12 not just alive but sporting the teeth and claws of a fierce predator. Colorado is coming, the membership has swelled to 13 schools and more could be added soon. It’s a testament to the league’s collective attributes, all of which revealed themselves in a time of crisis: resolve, self-awareness, patience, leadership, boldness and ruthlessness.

thats an awful lot of buyout. 35 million per team. they cant afford that. maybe a merger would work?

The PAC ****** around with the media deal long enough, and is now finding out as schools start to bolt. There are probably max 3 seats and 5 viable schools that could fill them. If ASU and Utah didn't figure out that it's no longer **** around time, they're going to find themselves either in the MWC, or the PAC-branded equivalent.

CU departing killed the PAC media deal and puts them at a full pause until all the dust settles.

Their one job was to get a deal done before it was too late. It is now too late, and it could be Christmas before they get back in the room with partners to hash things out for 2024. That is a failure no matter how you slice it.

I'm in the minority here but I'd rather have the 4 corner schools than Oregon/Washington. I think the #1 thing the league has now that we've never had in the past is unity through alignment. We're the land of misfit toys that somehow survived all of this craziness. Bringing in Arizona and ASU fits (screw Utah but they do fit regionally) our culture in my opinion. Oregon & Washington are elitists that will have one foot out the door the whole time. I'd offer spots as if to say, "If you're in, you're all the way in, and this is how we do it here."
Unity is simply a byproduct of not being wanted by the Big 10 or SEC. If Washington and Oregon get a hard pass from the Big 10 and see that the Big 12 is their best option, they’d be fine. All the teams that have been pains the ass were that way because they had offers from other leagues that could make them more money.

With any luck we will be there by Tuesday.

Also, It seems to me that it's almost more likely that the B1G goes for ACC schools for further expansion.

George will scramble and present a deal shortly
