I feel sorry for all of the new Cyclones in the old dorms. Time to get really familiar with the library and other air conditioned buildings. Hang tough, the heatwave will pass soon enough and ISU will go back to being a beautiful campus.
Have laundry to do but don't want to run the dryer in the afternoon. Wonder if the kids would wear their clothes and just ride their bikes around to dry them out.
My smoke detector kept going off this morning. The only thing I could think of was that the humidity was causing it.
4 people passed out at work today. So guess who got to go home early.

Had a buddy of mine who at his house that happened as well. When he said it was the humidity causing it that was the first I've ever heard of that being a reason for it to go off.
Reminds me of back in the day when I thought I was good enough to give a **** about golf ball compression. Ope it’s going to be 65 today I have to go and pick up some 80’s before I get to the course. Can’t play a 90 on a day like today!
By my sensors (average of 2 outdoor temperature sensors, both in the shade and 1 humidity sensor). I get a current Heat Index of 124.5. 97.5° and 64% rh.
