I mean goodness. The game hasn't even started and just being totally miserable everywhere. Sounds exhausting and stressful to live like that. I wouldn't even enjoy watching the games if I was always that negative.
I think as die hard lifelong ISU fans, we become cautiously optimistic. However, there is a fine line between that and full on pessimism. Some of us are too far to the pessimism side, and once that happens, theres no getting them back

I just don't understand how we are favored/pickem vs KU. They beat a team that beat us by 30 points. I understand we've improved since then, but the line was very surprising to me
We beat a team by 7 that beat KSU by 8. So we should be favored at KSU then?

This is the same KU team we should have beat last year. There isnt enough of a glaring difference between last years KU team and this year. they will have to be prepared to score some points

Without looking at specific stats they seem better at defense and more 'multiple' on offense.

Last year at this time they were on their way to losing 6 of their last 7 regular season games so some things must have improved.

I've been upset after games and have been critical of certain things but to be constantly negative and immediately jump to all the negatives when the team is playing pretty well and the game is a few days away is just next level.

That doosh-troll is on my ignore list and CF is a significantly better experience. It's not even a fan, it's just a dude who gets off on people's reactions.

Definitely not someone who lives in reality for what they expect for what's actually happening.

A super detailed analysis of how awful everything was on Saturday after a 2 score road conference win with a fairly average ISU team was a lot to take in.

What's the story on Jalon Daniels? Appears that his injury is longer lasting than first thought. If they hold him out the rest of the year would he be eligible for a medical redshirt? Dean is good but Daniels is at another level.

Rumor flying around is Daniels is entertaining NIL offers elsewhere.... possibly sitting to stay healthy for more $. Not sure how bad his back is. Also hearing Leipold may be leaving as well, depending on job openings.

Offensively, they are the same as last year from a yardage per game, points, etc. MAYBE slightly better in points. Defensively, they are about 5 points better per game. I am looking at conference games only however.

Conversely, ISU averaged 16.3 ppg in conference last year(gross), and this year 28.2, and the defense has been better than last year statistically. Granted, last year includes the assault at TCU, but so far this year the defense is giving up less than 20 ppg.

My point to all this is while KU has been good the last couple of years, I think ISU has done more improving than KU has, and we only lost to them by 3 last year.

How is saying our LBs suck (which they do) being negative? Where is all of this negativity you speak of.

I'm just honest. For the record I think this game is a relative pick 'em (as most experts also suggest) and think it will be a high scoring game so long as weather doesn't play a factor. I think it's ******* hilarious how some (like yourself) focus on only my negative comments without ever admitting I'm hardly always negative. STs have been great, secondary is great, and the skill positions have been positive/improving. OL is still below average but showing some signs of unit improvement.

But hey, focus on my comments about our very subpar LBs and meh DL. Coming into the year I thought there was a much high chance we'd win 2-3 games rather than 6-7. But here we are, likely to win 6 with a decent shot at winning 7. If by the grace of god we win more than that it's a bonus.

But hey, whatever.

I think we match up well against KU. Bean, for all the good he's doing, is mistake prone and also isn't the QB to take them on many 10+ play drives. If Daniels comes back, he'll be rusty. Our defense, for all the negative talk is still good against the run and has only allowed 14, 10, and 18 points against offenses that have put up points against lesser competition.

If QB runs are KU's best offense I like ISU's chances.

Hopefully the opportunities are there and hit for ISU when they have the ball.

I'm just going to start quoting this kind of stuff to keep the receipts in case you actually read what you wrote and delete them.

I don't delete anything dude. If you want to waste your time and have some kind of "ZRF chest" to throw at me later, whatever.

I'm happy the national attention is off ISU right now. While the Jayhawks are getting their d1icks sucked right now by the media, ISU can get ready to lay a beatdown on them.
