I'll continue to maintain that Curtis Jones will probably have positive regression up close to his career averages from 3. If he does that, he's going to be a valuable player. There's a place for both him and Pav, though, and frankly I think there will be times that both of them bite into Gilbert's minutes. Gilbert is the most naturally gifted of the three in pretty much every area, but he can definitely force things too much sometimes. It'll be interesting, too, to see how the rotation changes when Ward comes back.

I know Depaul is not a good team.......but I like the look of this group trying to out score an opponent rather than trying to keep everyone under 40.

I think it fits them better.

Was in attendance tonight as I live right down the street. On my CTA bus back home and I am of course glad we won, cool to see them put up 99, etc., but I really just enjoyed watching Gilbert handle the ball out there in the 2nd half in person. Fun, weird team!

Before the season I thought we’d win decisively over Iowa this season. Now, I’m not so sure. It’s good that it’s in Hilton though..

Maybe he doesn't score as much (only because he doesn't shoot as much) but otherwise, Tamin Lipsey is the closest thing to Pete Maravich I've ever seen. Just like a magician on the court!

That Iowa is great offensively but not good on defense. It was on his podcast.

Haven't they always been that way? That was the narrative last year and they swamped ISU.

They'll sell out on D for that one shining December moment.

It was in Carver. We smoked them last time in Hilton.

It was JorBo's farewell game.

Decided to miss watching this one live since we basically had four night games in a row last weekend and my wife was really cool about that. Only seeing the box score and trying not to check it too often is somehow more stressful than watching it live. Going to watch the replay now.

I've been there. It's like 'How did it go from a ____ lead to only _____?

Everyone worried about Iowa........that's fine, they can shoot. But they can't guard. And ISU has what 3-4 that can attack.

I think the only way Iowa has a chance is if they go zone. That is how Depaul made it a game in the first half.
