It's amazing they're such a dominant force despite the behind the scenes **** show. Sounds very much like Horner to threaten to go out swing and dragging everyon through the mud with him. Makes sense that RB would backoff after the investigation. But the comical part is that Max (Jos really) holds all the chips. Max is the most important part of all and if team Verstappen wants him gone, he'll be gone no doubt.

As someone who's decidedly anti-RB, I'd love to see the house come tumbling down. Horner gets the ax, Newey bails, brain drain from the rest of the engineering/technical team being free to go, etc.

There were a few pics and short videos out there showing Toto and Jos having a talk. Lots of rumors that Jos is demanding the Horner leaves. Sounds like about everyone at RB has a clause that if Horner leaves almost anyone can, and that may include Max as well.
I don't follow this part of F1 that closely. What's the end game for the Verstappens? It seems that RB is so far ahead of everyone else that going anywhere else would severely compromise winning more championships. There is no doubt in my mind that Max is head and shoulders above every other driver on the grid right now, but he isn't 20+ seconds better than everyone else if they all had the RB. Seems to me, working with people you may not like might be worth it if it keeps you dominating the sport like no one else ever has.

I guess in my limited knowledge, it seems if you plugged Sainz or Norris into that RB and put Max at Mercedes, the RB would still dominate.

They are dominant because the car was already built and already fast, add the faster driver and you have the dominance. Max don't give a rip really about the whole thing, he just wants to win. He has the Next level of focus that the Goats all have. Jordan, Brady, Kobe. The world could be on fire and they would still be doing every thing they can to win.

I am not a Horner fan at all. He makes good TV though. Wonder who would replace him.

As a Lewis fan, I was ok still owning Merc gear. But dang, put Max in the Merc and I'm just not sure what I do...........

In my opinion. Max is just better than Lewis at this point. However, If the cars were the same right now and that switch was made, I would take Fernando to win the whole thing. Vettel would come in Second. If all cars were even and they all could drive a car as fast as the Red Bull, I would take Max first, Lewis Second.

The weird thing is- Lewis was always a super likable dude off the track between his story and his values. I think most were just sick of their dominance in that seven (really eight) year stretch. Dynasties are no fun.

Max, however, is not likable on or off the track at all. Add in that they’re completely dominating right now, I think you’ve got a majority of fans praying for their downfall.

If Max flipped to Merc, I think you’d see some fans stop rooting for the team, and you’d see a lot of those who stay fans of the team potentially rooting against one of their drivers.
